I dunno, but I figure it is probably optional to the host team while it is mandatory for the visiting team. We'll find out for sure in 2 weeks.

Clearly the Titan are looking for someone to cover both instances: Job opportunity The Acadie-Bathurst Titan is presently looking for a person able to broadcast the hockey games for both radio and the Webcast Job requirements: Bilingual Have a good knowledge of hockey Able to travel with the team Be available to broadcast the local games on the Webcast Must be a good communicator

I guess what I mean is that Telus would own the rights to video broadcasts ... so if the Telus broadcast from the Moncton Coliseum was the responsibility of the visiting team ... would a non-Telus broadcast by the home team be allowed ? Would Telus sponsor/finance two broadcasts for the same game ?

The games will have to be in english AND french. It may be possible...it was last year in the Finals when Lewiston was in the Memorial Cup. We here in Lewiston put the game on a the screens in our Powerplay Lounge at the rink, and on one occasion, the English feed from Rogers was NOT showing the game when the time for faceoff arrived. We simply clicked "Francais" and got the game and the Quebec-based broadcasters. After the first period, we decided to try again and clicked "English"--the game as on, and we had Peter L. and the rest of the English crew. Not sure if Telus has that capacity, and if they can hook up both the English and French announcers (if the road teams in Lewiston bring one--not all of the ones from Quebec do), but I do know it can work out that way if Telus has the technology.

i am for one certainly looking forward to this since i can't make any games since i live in ontario. It will especially be good for all the parents, relatives and friends of the players that come from places that are not nearby. Better book those 70 games off in your calendar now ...
