Word in L'Acadie Nouvelle is the Cats are close to signing both guys...that would be huge, both guys are blue chip 1st or 2nd round calibre talent. Dimitruk would help fill a big need on defense, even at 17, he is apparently a very smooth skater and puckhandler in the mold of Jim Sharrow. MacAusland is a guy that could put up 50 points if given an offensive role...he's strong on skates and has great hands and vision.

Billy
How is it that L'Acadie Nouvelle usually know more about whats happening in the Q and Moncton than anyone? They are usually correct.

Neil Hodge is still trying to figure out Office Vista's copy/paste functions Their is no Office Vista. Even if their was the copy and paste function works identical as before. Back on the subject of MacAusland. Not surprised by the latest news. After I heard we drafted him I mentioned to a few people that we'll see MacAusland on the team this year. This news should stir up chsb. Personally I do not have problems with a deal like this as we are seeing that no pre-draft agreements were in place and the Wildcats did take a chance in drafting him. All I know is its going to really suck not having season tickets this year...

I think I've seen this whole pre-draft agreement thing before and it will no doubt turn into a good ole fashion slugfest ;D

If it has taken from June to August to get an agreement, it would seem to me that there was no pre-draft agreement.

If MacAusland does end up signing with the Cats, do you think he will come in and play right away or do you think he will still play a year with a Beavers?

I've seen this kid play, I see him in the lineup right away. Given the right opportunity he can put up 50-60 points. Hopefully Flynn uses him properly and doesn't do like what happened to Samson. Sure Samson turned out great but he could have been so much better for us.

MacAusland will be a great addition to the Wildcats, if he signs. All indications were he was going to the NCAA but things can change very quickly with proper incentives. He is a local kid, with a great upside to him. Hope he joins the Q.

I figured that when we drafted him (Macausland)we had a very good chance at landing him. I also think that if he is signed he will play with the Cats this season. There would be no benefit to him playing with the Beavers this season. I also think that we will see Samuels Thomas and Dimitruk here this year.

If he wasn't playing on a third line with 2 defensive forwards, Hepditch and Gaudet. He showed in Val D'or and a bit here last season what he could do when put into an offensive role.
