I did say that he was reporting to camp. I forgot to put "camp only". But I still feel this is a a step in the right direction. I can't see him comming all this way just for extra ice time. I suspect he will stay if he proves to himself in camp that he can be a regular this season ... if he struggles and seems destined to be the 7th or 8th d-man, my money says he bails ...

I doubt he's a #7-8 guy...he's a blue chip guy, most Hockey East schools want him. It's not if the WC want him, it's if he wants them...coming to camp is a very good sign though.

NHL playing experience doesn't automatically equate to being a good coach. But you're right, Danny Flynn is a hack coach. He's only helped coach a team to an OHL championship, an OHL team to a Memorial Cup championship, helped take a QMJHL team to a championship and a berth in a Memorial Cup final. Add to this the work he's done in Antigonish with the St. F.X hockey team. Oh, and experience at the NHL level. But really, we need to diminish all he's accomplished because he's in Moncton. I guess we won't hear how great of a coach he is until he puts a Moose jersey on. If he does have any success this year, I guess we'll just need to chalk it up to Irving throwing his money around. On the money subject, from what I've heard these are eduction packages that only get paid out IF the player doesn't go pro. If the Q wanted to fix this situation they could help themselves first by increasing the league education plan. Where did I say he was a hack coach? seems to me your alittle sensitive on the subject. I said he was a good coach. The two non-CIS championships you refer to he was an asst to...... Nolan. He did an ok job at X, but at a dinner there recently the comment was made that he would be a great fit in Moncton, a good match to spend Irvings money, which he did well at X. But because Flynn is in Moncton all of the sudden he is the best coach in the league, thats been this boards stance. In terms of the money, you are wrong. It is disguised as education money, RKI got a taste of buying a team in the mem cup year and he wants another run, good for him, he was born into a family with money and has a passion for the sport. We need more owners like him. Also what does my comment have to do with the Moose. Where has anyone said that Flynn is the best coach in the league? I challenge you to find any posts where someone outright said that he is the best coach in the league. I personally think he will probably be one of the better coaches in the league this season, but not THE best.

Did anyone else notice that in the roster section Colin Moore is still listed there? Has he had a change in heart? Maybe comming to check things out?? Colin Moore is supposedly signed to play at Harvard in '08 Here's a link talking about it from a similar 'talk' board: clik.to/Midgetdboard (scroll down to a thread titled Moore about 2/3 of the way) It cites USHR (US Hockey report) Also there's Chris Heisenberg's site you can check and he's usually right on with college signings. I doubt Moore would leave the the USNDTP program and walk away from Harvard to play in the "Q". Anything the "Q" can offer him in terms of success in the future is matched by the D-1 hockey opportunity and seriously overshadowed by getting a Harvard degree. The kid is bright, a terrific athlete, a terrific hockey player (I meant to differentiate) and extremely hard working both on and off the ice. Great teammate (son was at a MA Hockey player development camp with him and a Festival team) as well. I couldn't imagine him taking the risk of losing his NCAA eligibility for an opportunity to play in the "Q"

If you listened to falcon all the time, he makes it seem like these kids are getting millions of dollars. Most of them are getting a cent in terms of straight up money. Moncton has a decent university as well, which helps draw some kids. They get financial backing in terms of education packages that teams like Val d'Dor, Drummondville, Bathurst etcc cant or wont offer young players.
