Breton was cut as a 19 y d-man in CB... he would be better than Herr, if we can get him on waivers.
plus he could go direct to UM for his education instead of going CGEP

Breton is a much better choice than Herr. Breton can actually play too. i remember seeing Breton in a fight against Brett Gallant in harbour station back in march. i think Breton may have broke his nose in that fight. he didn't play in cape breton's next game. another note from that night: Gallant also fought Luc Bourdon and i'd say Gallant won that fight. kinda made me laugh 'cause Bourdon was a major BUST with the Cats! plus Bourdon skates around thinking he'll be better than bobby orr, niklas lidstrom, ray bourque, larry robinson and brian leetch combined. i'll admit Luc is a better than average player in junior, but at the pro level he was terrible in Vancouver and i doubt he fared much better in the last year's playoffs with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. sorry to get off topic..... |

I think Breton would be a big upgrade on Herr. On the Cape Breton board I think they said CEGEP could have something to do with why he was cut?! Isn't that only for 18 yo's?

A little early to spout off saying Bourdon will be a failure in the NHL. Considering defense is the hardest position to learn and develop and being that Bourdon just turned 20 a few months ago, I think it is a little pre-mature to make that argument.

Could be confusing for some people having Breton and Brenton even though they play a different position,style and have a totally different build.

looks like herr is are fighter ..... Call Billy Riley and get the boy some dance lessons! Maybe his first assignment can be to say hi to the Bathurst player who broke Brown's nose. Anyone remember who the player was? |

Anyone remember who the player was? I wouldn't be too worried if I was that Bathurst player after watching Herr's performance against Alexandre Leduc. Very unimpressive. Even moreso considering Leduc is definitely not a fighter and still had his gloves on and stick in his hands by the time Herr had his gloves off and a hold of him. |

Billy could throw 'em with the best of him ... it was always exciting in that Calder Cup championship year to watch the captain drop the gloves and feed somebody 4 or 5 inches taller than him a flurry of rights. |

Herr will do a fine job for you guys. He is a gamer which is really all you need. He owned Leduc the other night, which he should. The only reason it wasn't a more impressive beatdown was because Leduc hung on for dear life.
This being said, I think the Cats would benefit from having some help for Herr. Morehouse either needs to fight more, or they should get somebody to ride shotgun for Herr.

Guys like Lessard Brannon Sill Morehouse can drop the goves from time to time, I think they just need a legit #1 guy...which IMHO was Lamoureux. |
