sounds right, there were rumours that Cape Breton was after him, possibly as a head coach.

sounds right, there were rumours that Cape Breton was after him, possibly as a head coach. He hasn't had much sucess as a Head Coach at Dal over the last few years ... but its likely more of a recruiting issue than Coaching.

Carl Mallette left after 1 year to play minor pro. Bobby Chaumont left after 1 year to play minor pro. Martin St-Pierre left school before playing a game. Mind you, he's played 16 NHL games in the last 2 years and finished 2nd in AHL scoring last year, so he probably wasn't a good bet to stay anyway.

Yes recruiting was very weak at Dalhousie, getting Melanson, a known dressing room cancer and not really a student, showed how desperate they were. I think he is a good coach though...
