Tanel and Critchlow are officially Titan players also and the last forward spot will be decided amongst Lambke/Jean-Boulianne/Couture as Bernier was cut, Labelle was traded to Drummondville for a 12th round pick, Louden and Basque put on waivers and Landry returned to his junior A team.
Congratulations to the Titan players and good season to Rémi and all!

Good to hear.......Remi has really impressed me at camp so far........of the other forwards left, Couture has been the guy that impressed me the most.....on Jean-Boulianne he's only 16, so another year of midget wouldn't hurt him......if that were the case, it's between Lambke and Couture, I'd take Couture cause he has shown just as much and is a pretty big solid guy.

The team could keep them both, couldn't they? Francoeur said in an interview that he intended to keep-23 to 24 players and there are now 25 at camp. Also Couturier indicated(I think if I recall well) that there would not be other cuts before the ones returning form the pro camps would be back. There is also the Bartos situation which could create more space available than anticipated for rookies. So far rookies like Champion,Critchlow,Blanchard,Tanel,Couture are all showing great promise and I am very happy to see the Titan hold to that many of them.... Bartos could be replaced much quicker than anticipated if we give a chance to guys like Joly/Grenache/Faille/Mailloux/Jezegou to step up to the challenge on a first or 2nd line.

REPLACE is a very strong word you make it sound like you expect one of them to simply step up and score the 30/40 goals and roughly 100 pts that Bartos was expected to produce. Your terrific offensive depth will ease the loss of Bartos but there still will likely be some noticable loss. But in the grand scheme of things it only minimally impacts your predicted battle with PEI/Lew for 2nd-4th in the division. Should make for a very close and entertaining season watching the battles in the East.

Defensively speaking, we have not seen Labrie nor Sigouin play a single game and I don't expect them to play before their pro camp. What we have seen from our defense so far allows us to be more optimistic than your prognosis....enough to tell you that you are probably out in the left field. What we have seen from Champion and Lagacé at this camp allows the Titan fans to foresee a tandem just as good as Lafleur/Mosher in PEI.

Not sure where you get your reasoning from but the Titan have given up 27 goals in 5 games. That's an average of 5.4 goals per game. That's what we have seen from our defense. I think our defense will do well this year. Probably better than the out of towners would expect, but I'm not making that assumption based on what I have seen so far. The defense has not been a strong point. And what do Champion and Legacé have to do with Lafleur/Mosher. Champion and Legacé may not even play for the Titan this year.

For the 27 goals in 5 games, you seems to forgot that there some goalies and defense that have been cut since then.
What chsb probably means is that we are satisfied for what we have seen from the one that are still in the line-up today. The 27 goals allowed doesn't mean a thing, Hey! it's pre-season game!

It appears that you are responding to other statements that I made about the Titan in the Q discussion Board under the thread you started so if you wish to continue a discussion about Bathurst vs PEI vs other East teams I would be happy to. However, in order to clarify for those who don't visit the Q Discussion Board, I'm guessing these "left field" comments that Btitan is referring to is that: I predicted for Bathurst to finish 2nd in the East as a strong offensive team (even without Bartos) and average defensively (still an improvement over last season). But that PEI, Lew and maybe even Moncton will challenge them. And I find it amusing that you are comparing 17 yr olds Champion (12th round draft pick) and Legace (invite) to Lafleur who finished 3rd in goalie stats last season and was the first North American Goalie drafted in the NHL. As I said Btitan if you want to continue this I would be happy to on the Q discussion board as it has nothing to do with Blanchard, congrats to him by the way.

I expect Legault out of the team Champion will have his turn in and out..... As I wrote another topic, if Tardif does not come to maturity from now till Christmas, I expect the Titan to trade for a veteran goaltender. HOWEVER I doubt it very much and I truly expect an excellent Tardif.

I am also stating that, IF Tardif does not mature as expected, a veteran goaltender will be traded for. But I believe Tardif will be the man.
