I guess that's the price for giving all these big 'education packages' to your top draft picks.

Besides, we in Moncton aren't terribly price-sensitive...look at coffee prices, they keep going up, we keep buying it. :-) But remember there is no caffeine in hockey ..

I don't think it will make much of a difference in attendance. Look at what people are willing to spend on beer and concessions.... Besides, we in Moncton aren't terribly price-sensitive...look at coffee prices, they keep going up, we keep buying it. :-) I disagree. People regularly go downtown and spend $4.50 on a beer but no one thinks that $4 for popcorn is anything other than a corn. They would buy better than twice as much popcorn if they halved the price. The cost of popcorn is insignificant. I never will get a $4 popcorn, except at the movie, and I will think next year about getting season tickets if a I figure out it will cost me less to buy the tickets at the first of the year for only the games that I want to see. I expect CB will be seriously rebuilding next year so theres 6 or 8 times $15.50 saved. Infact if we suck I can save the whole thing. Get a Curling membership, drink a whole bunch of beer and jump back on the bandwagon 2 of every four years. Consumers will start to speak eventually. Why not share a flex pack with someone? 17 or 18 games, skip the ones you don't care about and still get the Season Ticket savings?

If everybody was a fairweather fan like you ... we wouldn't have a team. You have to support your team in good years and in bad years to keep the franchise strong ... otherwise you'd have a franchise like Bathurst. Not everybody can afford to lay down $400 + every year (per seat) as many are hard pressed just to keep food on the table ... but you aren't describing economic hardship in your case ... just not interested in watching the team lose. Thats your decision ... but fairweather fans are garbage fans ... and you are obviously one.

I'm a very good fan went to Quebec and Halifax and I was making a point and you weren't smart enough to pick that up.

I'm a very good fan went to Quebec and Halifax and I was making a point and you weren't smart enough to pick that up. Your post describes spending your money elsewhere because you won't be as entertained this season ... thats a fairweather fan ... sorry you weren't smart enough to pick that up. You aren't describing not being able to afford it ... you said you'd spend the money elsewhere on curling and beer .. and jump "back on the bandwagon" every 2 to 4 years ... that is the definition of a fairweather fan. If the price was $100 per game I couldn't afford it and would have to stay home ... $3500 a year for each seat starts to cut into my "putting food on the table" budget. I'm sorry you don't like the label of fairweather fan but what you described is exactly that. If you can't afford to go regularly each year thats fine ... not everybody can ... but thats not what you described. But feel free to change your tune now to suit your arguement.

I guess its all over your head. I was talking about your average consumer. You know the ones with families. Those guys that fill in the seats after the 2200 season ticket holders. I'm sorry you are disgusted by them. Perhaps you could buy a gun?
