did a small compilation yesterday...i sure hope The CATS know how to skate because they are one small team...
TEAM Average size
STJ's 196.3 lbs LEW 193.6 lbs A-B 193.5 lbs HAL 190.7 lbs STJ 186.3 lbs PEI 184 lbs C-B 183 lbs MON 181 lbs
and the Cats are not a young rebuilding team either
TEAM average age
HAL 18.44 STJ's 18.36 MON 18.35 A-B 18.28 C-B 18.12 PEI 18.08 LEW 18.04 STJ 17.96
Halifax seems poised at a run with a big veteran team....Saint John sea dogs look like a promising team filled with a great BIG young defensive corps...and anyone who plays on the ROCK will feel the pain of the boards, especially the small kittens...

The Wildcat roster on the Q site still has the height/weight figures from last year. Not sure if this is the case for all teams. The Cats' official site has more up to date info... most of the returning players are up 8-12 lbs from last season.

with the numbers on the Cat's site it's 183.6, not much of a difference but it puts us ahead of CB for what it's worth.

Yeah because god knows that big buffoons like Matt Bolland puts the fear of god into players with his size And size isn't a big reason Marquardt is effective Size helps skilled players... Being quick is great but always getting knocked off the puck or not being effective in traffic or where it matters is no good... just like being big and strong is no good if your too slow to get the puck or hit people.

Marquardt scored 40 goals last year...how many did Bolland score? That's my point, it's one thing to have big players with no skill, quite another to have skill players with size.

My point just being that all other things being equal having size is good. It's not like you look at two lineups and automatically know a team has more skill because they're smaller. Again all things being equal... But I see your point... size at the cost of skill not good.

We might be small but once we release the herr-factor the other teams will be running. Then they will tell two friends and so on and so on.

Flip that around though, it's not like you look at two lineups and automatically know which team is better because they're bigger. That's basically what buddy that started this thread is implying.
