How come "Red Light" Riopel didn't get a star last night? didn't let in enough goals? ;D

How come "Red Light" Riopel didn't get a star last night? didn't let in enough goals? ;D Are you trying to make fun of your own star selector? It wasn't Pete Gauvin picking the stars so I named all three stars in order before they were picked, they were well picked. |

Anyone know why Baca didn't play? I would imagine that Flynn thought the SJ's was a good gamble for playing the non Baca defensemen to see what they could do. Everyone is so high on Eastman but I thought he doesn't have the legs for the Q from what I saw. Many of the others would be fringe guys at best. We will see. I'm hoping that was just shaking the cobwebs out. A truly ugly win. |

Anyone know why Baca didn't play? I would imagine that Flynn thought the SJ's was a good gamble for playing the non Baca defensemen to see what they could do. Everyone is so high on Eastman but I thought he doesn't have the legs for the Q from what I saw. Many of the others would be fringe guys at best. We will see. I'm hoping that was just shaking the cobwebs out. A truly ugly win. I think there are a few guys that need to improve their leg strength ... from a quickness standpoint and being stronger on the puck ... Eastman was one but I think he has good potential if he does improve that area. I though Wilson had a shaky start to the game but he seemed to get noticeably better as the game went on ... probably a case of nerves. Flynn/Joseph seemed to give Wilson more and more ice time as the game went on. Herr played a safe game and was actually not too bad. Boyle had a few shifts in the 1st period and was never seen from again ... that I can recall. |

I was disappointed Baca was not dressed. He's definitely our number 3 d-man. Imo, Eastman is number 4. The rest still has to be played out and hopefully it's played out sooner rather then later, don't feel like having to guess who's gonna dress every night.
