Nice win by cats after being down 3-1 and winning another shootout after loosing a heartbreaker on Wednesday, nice to Brannon get the winner vs his old team. Lavigne will be in Nets for 5th straight game on Sunday? I say Yes...

A W in Cape Breton. The first time in how many years? The last time it happened, Ian Girard scored the winning goal. That tells you how long ago it was.

Great win in Cape Breton tonight. Guys didn't quit after being down 3-1. The Cats were not in the game for the first part of the game. Amazing kill in OT.. the game should have been over there. Lavigne played very well. Flynn was changing the lines up a lot tonight. I thought there were a calls that were out in left field.. the one on Sill in OT was a joke.. but the other one was one where Lessard hit Piscacek ( sp? ) from behind and the Cape Breton player gets a diving penalty. Lavigne makes me nervous in shootouts, but it seems he is very successful with pokechecking, so that I like. Good to see Brannon win the game against his former team. Although I only started watching this from the start of the third period, it appeared that Piskacek went down every time he heard someone skating within ten feet of him. One was the one you mentioned, one there was no call, and one we got a call against us.

I was worried we might get 5 minutes.. let alone them being called for a penalty for diving. But that's just my opinion.

I didn't think it was too bad since none of the linesmen intervened and called it a major.

The biggest problem with the hit is that it was well after play had been whistled dead. I'll probably get called a homer for this but I honestly thought that Piskacek embellished it a bit the moment it happened. I certainly wasn't expecting the refs to call a diving penalty on him though. Oh well they made up for it in OT with the call on Sill for accidentally running into Slaney. I'm willing to bet if that Sill fell down and Slaney was still standing the call would have went the other way. But none of that matters now.
- Noticed that Marquardt had an A on his jersey tonight. I wonder if that's a move to try and get him to play more consistently? He had two glorious chances from the slot on the PP late in the 3rd but didn't get a great shot off either time.
- The lines got shuffled about halfway thru the game to: Marquardt - Eagles - Brenton MacAuslund - Mangan - Lessard Morehouse - Sill - Brannon Bezak - Stephens - Brown
- The D was also changed up a bit as they put Boyle up with Barberio and Pianosi with Wilson. Obviously Flynn and Co. weren't impressed with Pianosi's slip up which led to the penalty shot goal by Ouellet.
- The Sill line was by far our best line tonight which is nothing unusual. I'd rather see Sill with at least an A on his jersey but maybe that will come at some point. Also 7 goals for Sill on the season so far? I wouldn't have predicted that but it goes to show that hard work pays off.
- Good job by Brown and Stephens on the tying goal as both went to the net and Brown ended up with a nice rebound to put home. Exactly what we need to do to be able to score goals. The previous shift no one on the Eagles line seemed to wanna do that but luckily the rookies showed some smarts on the next shift.
- How about that Gomes ;D Big assist on the Morehouse goal!
- Last but not least....with the win we now have more wins in November than we did all of October. Small improvements...that's all we can hope for.

I noticed he had the "A" on for the game the other night against Saint John.. not sure how long he's had it.. but I guess with MacLellan out, he just took it from him?

That must have been the first game because I specifically remember the Halifax announcers talking about the fact that Marquardt didn't have an A last weekend.
