That would be a huge blow, losing Perrault and Bartos. I hope he does come back to Bathurst because I really enjoyed watching him and Beau light us up each game. Not that I really enjoyed it but they were an awesome duo to watch.
I had no idea he only clocks in at 151 pounds. WOW

After reading a bit about the Caps, it seems that there are a few guys ahead of Perreault among rookies, two of which being Backstrom and Bouchard. Perreault would have to play center on a 2nd line to crack their lineup this season and they got Nylander and Backstrom....plus Chris Bourque....and Beech. Funnily Bouchard is listed as a C/RW.....
Chances of seeing Perreault in Washington at 19 YO are very slim. I hope that he makes it to main camp though.

Quote: "Mathieu Perreault made a nice play to set up Quintin Laing, but the latter fanned on the pass. Later in the game, Perreault did set up Laing for a goal, with Boyd Gordon getting the other assist. I enjoyed watching Perreault play today and thought he looked good, but he was sent back to his junior team, Acadie-Bathurst of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, after the scrimmage." dumpnchase.wordpress.com/2007/09/15/last-tuneup-before-carolina/Mathieu was sent back today to Bathurst.

why would he be pissed off? I don't think many figured he would stick this season. But I do hope he tears up the league

I hope he comes back here pissed off with something to prove, and tears this league up this year....... According to some people who watched the Caps camp, Perreault did very well. The Caps have in their organizational system Backstrom, Bourque, Perreault and DeSimone as their top prospect centermen according to Hockey Future. They have for next season aging centermen Kozlov and Nylander to play along with Ovechkin and Semin. Then they have Backstrom and Bourque who was pegged all along in Boston as a potential 3rd line centerman, never higher..... Perreault's upside potential is much higher than that and I am surprised that he was not tried in at least a couple of camp games along their best elements. McPhee sending Perreault just about voids any chance for him to get an invitee to TCJ camp and he will have to prove at the Q level that he deserves to be signed by the Caps next June.... ...Harsh treatment for a player who was chosen Q MVP last season by a panel of 18 different Q coaches from all teams. No doubt that Perreault should be pissed and I hope that he explodes for the Titan and establishes himself as the clutch player we always knew he would be.

Harsh treatment?.......that's a little extreme ain't it........all accounts out of Washington is that they love his game......he'll be back there, don't worry.

I'm not worried for Perry to do the team in Washington. It's better to let him go to Bathurst and be the big leader for the team at 19 and acquired some leadership experience. If they don't sign him, then they don't have to wonder why it's been a long time since they've made the playoffs. Especially with the game getting faster and faster, you need quick players like Perreault.
