I think the cats future looks pretty good,watching Matt brown last-night this kid looks awsome.Macausland looks like he,s going to be a star in this league also.On defence,Barbeiro looks like the next Yandle ,and could probably surpass Yandle.Riopel also could steal games for us on his own in the future.I personally think this team in 2 yrs could be a team to reckon with.With the right trades this christmas,guys like Magnan,Marquartd and maybe even Lavigne,could get us a couple of 17 yr olds or high draft choices to speed up this rebuilding process.The work ethic is there this yr,were not getting blown out and keeps the fans on the edge of there seats to the end of the game.We definitely need help on defence and maybe a couple of young guns added up front i think we could make a run for it in 2 yrs time

Don't forget also that Stephens seems to have grown about 2" since training camp and added about 15 pounds ... he suddenly got big and not so slim looking. He has considerable skill IMO and I want to see alot more of him ... as you can see what regular icetime is doing for Matt Brown.

I agree. The youth we have is impressing me more than our older guys. I think if this team is not going anywhere this year.. trade Marquardt, Mangan. I would keep Morehouse though. I'd like to see them make some trades and get some picks/young players.

Not to be sarcastic catsfan,but its pretty obvious that were not going anywhere this year and after watching Marquartd lastnight its looking pretty obvious that his interest here is running out.I agree with Big Papi,that our youth are gaining valuable ice time and its progressing them alot faster

I agree, I find that MacAusland, Stephen, Brown and Riopel
have made a big improvement in there game since the beginning
of the season and more ice time will only help to increase there
development speed. I hope to see more of these guys and
can't wait to see what these guys become in this league.

Marquardt and Riopel are gone at Christmas...Wc's should get a young goalie at the draft, he'll be ready in about 3 years for a good run with the good young talent on this team.
