Trade involving Bathurst and Cape Breton..

I know this has been posted on other boards.. but I just find this an unusual trade, so I'll post it.

Clendenning to Cape Breton
Laberge to Bathurst

A straight up one for one trade.

Trading the captain ... hmmnnn ... odd move, usually backfires ... Clendenning must be devastated as most "locals" spent the entire summer and early fall dispelling any and all rumours of Clendenning wanting out.

There were also rumors in training camp that one of the Eagles 20's wanted out. Is this trade nothing more than accommodating player demands?

Clendennning 22 pts 4th highest on Titan
Laberge 32 pts 2nd highest on Eagles
Both are about a point a game.
Could be trying to improve team chemistry. The Titan know all about that right???

I can't see how sending your captain, 4.5 year Titan player would improve team chemistry. Maybe that's why they did it! Chemistry was too good.
