Do you think there will be any interest in Mangan during the trade period this year? In my opinion they should trade him if they can get a decent return for him, considering it's not looking like they will be contenders.

The question is always whether other teams have a 20 yo slot worth upgrading....I think there will be more interest in 20 year old goaltenders...
Mangan is the captain, and one of our only playmakers...and the PP has improved since he started playing the point. I can't see him being moved unless we are blown away with an offer, which I don't foresee happening...I wouldn't want to trade him for only a mid-round pick.
I think it will be similar to last season where we held onto Welton and MacDonald....listening to offers, but not pulling the trigger unless a very favourable deal came along.

Its just that simple ... if he is an upgrade on the current 20's a team has then you might get some interest. But he is really just an average 20 and most teams have 20s that can score at a ppg rate. If he had 15 goals he might generate some interest ... but he doesn't.

Taking a look at some of the top teams around the league, Mangan would be an upgrade over a few 20 y/o IF you are comparing stats.
B-C: Maixime Morier, 24GP-3G-3A=6PTS
R-N: 20 y/o spot open
Gat: Darryl Smith, 30GP-9G-7A=16PTS
CB: Beau Prokopetz, 29GP-1G-3A=4PTS
Lew: M-A Daneau, 27GP-6G-7A=13PTS

They currently have Hawes, Lépine and Sniderman
