At their best as a pest

SAINT JOHN - While the Saint John Sea Dogs have no definitive pest in their lineup, they do have several players who like to mix it up and draw the wrath of opposing teams.
Players like Ryan Sparling, Alexandre Leduc and Chris Di Domenico routinely draw a crowd on the ice from their actions and words.
"I like to do it sometimes," Leduc said of irritating the other team. "Sometimes if I'm not playing well, I try to do something to draw penalties on the other team. Something to help the team."
With this in mind we asked two Saint John players - Keven Charland and Leduc - to name a few of the best pests the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has to offer. Here they are in no specific order:
Jordan Clendenning, forward Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
"He does everything on the ice and he's always talking," Charland said.
"He's not scared to fight," Leduc said. "He does a little bit of everything and it can get you mad."
Brad Tesink, forward/defenceman Acadie-Bathurst Titan
"He doesn't fight and that gets to guys even more," Charland said of the Saint John native. "He focuses his attention on key players and it usually works."
Ryan Graham, forward Acadie-Bathurst Titan
The former St. John's Fog Devil likes to agitate and play physical. He can score as well, which can infuriate a team even more.
Danick Paquette, forward Lewiston Maineiacs
In the last meeting between the Sea Dogs and Lewiston, Paquette declined an offer from Saint John tough guy Brett Gallant to drop the gloves. Late in the game, after Gallant had been thrown out, Paquette jumped Sea Dogs forward Matthew Stoddard. Paquette will no doubt receive another offer from Gallant on Sunday when the Maineiacs visit Harbour Station at 4 p.m.
