Biggest pick up of the year was when Saint John picked up Scott Howes from Drummondville with Drummondville he played 7 games had 1 goal & 5 assists for 6 points but when he went to Saint John he has 27 goals & 21 assists for 48 points.Saint John did their home work on this player and picked up a blue chip player for sure . I have not seen a better pick up this year. Congrats Saint John management on this transaction.

I read the subject of this post, and pretty much instantly thought of Howes. Picard-Hoooper (now just 1 point shy of 300 in his career) is probably near the top of that list too.
St John's made a couple nice trades over Christmas, and R-N and Baie-Comeau both added important pieces. Can anyone think of any trades around the league with bigger impacts than the P-H and Howes deals here in SJ?

it wasn't just the players...they were well timed moves, as Picard and Howes had time to slowly settle in.
