Sea Dogs played a great road game. Saint John fans should be happy with the one point. In a 3 in 3, they battled to the end. You guys will be scary next year, and for that matter the year after.
Couple player thoughts:
Grant - I dont think he came off the ice. As already mentioned, logged a ton of ice. Skated well, made good plays all over. He's really proving why he was a former #1 pick.
DiDomenico - I havent watched him play a lot, 2-3 times, so this may or may not be accurate, but he reminds me a lot of Claude Giroux. Very slick, great puck control, a very patient, composed player. He had a couple chances, but was gased in the 3rd. He'll be unbelievable next year.
Howes - Always seems to play the Moose well. Had a good game.
Fullerton - Is this guy your #1 now?? I'm going to assume he is, being it was a big game against a contender. He impressed. Seems to have a lot of confidence right now. I didnt know he could be that good.
Hope thats helps a bit.

Off to overtime we go!! Quite surprised actually, an (obviously) tired Sea Dogs team vs a rested Halifax team. Good job so far boys! Good lord people... The dreaded "3 in 3" is usually a term describing road trips where you play in 3 diff cities in 3 nights... You guys sat at home all week and played 2 sub-.500 teams in your own rink (woth Friday being able to coast for most of it), and then drove to Halifax for a game. How "tired" can you be? You only played 1 extra game than us, but we played an intense playoff style game against RN on Friday that the players are probably still feeling the effects of. Great point for you guys, even rested getting a point in Halifax is a good result... and yeah maybe its a point lost for the moose, still trying to get their lines/chemistry set... but its not like you guy limped into town to play a fresh Halifax team.

No wonder DiDo looed gassed in the 3rd, he never got off the ice, he was taking 2-minute shifts.
That can't be good late in games, especially play-off type atmosphere games if he does that all that time.
(I'm not sure if this was a one-off) since it's only about the 3rd Dogs game i seen.

Joe have you ever in your life played 3 games in 3 days? I have and trust me just because your not on the road or playing top tier teams doesn't make them easy by the 3rd game give it a try sometime might surprise yourself. Val D'or has actually made the Sea Dogs play their star players longer then they would have liked. Anyway trust me 3 in 3 at this level is still a tough thing to do it doesn't matter is 2 of them were home games.

It was a great game all around. There was solid play in both ends, The Dogs took some time to get the offence going, but when they did, they kept up with Halifax. The Dogs didn't play tired, if they were it didn't show, except as stated before, Dido in the third looked out of gas.
Anyone know why Gallant and Amyot were scratched? besides the to many healthy players.
P.S. It was nice to hear the Metro Centre get quiet when the Sea Dogs took Two of the Three Stars. ;D
Also the Antigonish BullDogs can come to the Station anytime they want!!! We need your type of spirit there too please!

Amyot is sick, and Gallant was scratched due to reasons already stated in this thread.

These 2 teams(Saint John & Halifax ) are so evenly matched it would not surprise me if these 2 finish first & second in the Q before the play offs as each team has 5 games in hand on Baie Comeau .To bad they are in the same division because it would be a great QMJHL final but it will also be a great Eastern Division final.Win your games in hand and that last regular season game in Halifax will fill that arena for sure for one hec of a winner takes Division or League regular season ending game. This time of the season is great for junior hockey as every point means everything.so as a fan sit back and enjoy this will be a wild finish to a great regular season.

ontariohockeyfan: It's possible that two teams from the same divsion meet in the league championship.

Missed the game today as we had a game out of town, but I did listen to what I could on News 88.9...awesome job from the boys this weekend 5 of a possible 6 points. I was surprised to see that we lost to POP in a shootout....but he had to win one sooner or later, Liske with another goal too, he has had a real streak going lately Keep it up Peyton!
Three games in three days IS a 3 in 3, regardless of were you play them...that is the stupidest thing I heard all day...as Canucklehead said try playing three games back to back to back, and especially at a high level like this and see how much energy you have in the tank at the end of it. Have to wonder sometimes!!
