Neither landed any they were all helmet shots (it happened right in front of me). I wouldn’t call it a win for either both players tried to get the helmets off but no luck. Hopefully next game we'll see a real fight. They had a close shot on camera too not saying it was great but no way that was a draw I don't care if Gallant hit his helmet it was still more than Boland did lol

Most shots thrown at a helmet doesn’t give you the win IMO. It makes you a fool. The last time Boland went swinging for the fences at someone’s helmet he broke his hand I’m assuming he didn't want the same result last night, especially since it was a clean hit Gallant was fighting him for. Like I said not much of a fight with no winner because I can guarantee NO shots landed knuckle to head, all were knuckle to helmet variety. Call it a win if you like but personally I don't enjoy a hollow sense of victory.

Any fighter will tell you the latter is just as if not more important when it comes to fighting. Unless you’re Marty Doyle or Homer Simpson then you sit there take a beating for 10 minuets until the other guy is tired, then go to work.

Boland was fighting not to loose, he unwillingness to take a punch to throw a punch cost him any chance at coming out on top. Your either born with the desire to be a fighter or your not and IMO Boland does not have it.

Most people are born with the instinct not to get knocked out (very possible from a Gallant punch.) What your suggesting is just throwing haymakers and hoping for the best, fights are technical the require offence and defense. Just like any other sport both are acceptable approaches.

I wouldnt even call that a fight, I dont think either guy landed shit. Gallant was trying to throw more but he was also holding Bolands right and preventing him from throwing. Gallant was more active but either way the fight sucked and was nothing more than a draw.

Draw my ass if the roles were reversed it'd be a win for Boland gimmie a break - a draw lol Boland hung on for dear life might be time to watch it again I think Gallant stopped throwing cuz Boland wasn't doing shit. If that was Boland throwing what Gallant did it'd be "Gallant got his ass kicked by Boland hahaha" Like I said before not a great fight but no way it was a draw that's giving to much credit to Boland for hanging on to Gallant.

Some of the great fighters to lace them up Probert, Bonvie, Domi, Langdon..................all had great technique when fighting but each were willing to take a punch to give one. Then you have some great toe to toe guys like Mirasty, Tasker, Hordichuck who just throw bombs and hope for the best. Boland had none of that he was busy keeping his face away from Gallant to mount any type of attack. Boland doesn;t have much for technique other then using his size and power.

Yes Boland only has one arm, he cant throw lefts. I dont see why everyone is even talking about this fight. It was shitty, neither guy even landed one punch. Funny how you can lose a fight and not even get punched.
