I know everyone's excited about the Sea Dogs standings as a team, and about Dido leading the league in points right now. I am too.
I looked at the stats this morning, and I saw another pleasant suprise, in that Scott Howes is very close to the top 10 in league scoring, in 11th.
Alex Grant is tied for the league lead in goals by a defenceman with 10.
Pascal Amyot was a +16 (!) in December. I don't care if +/- is an important stat or not, that's still an impressive month. I bet there were months in the last 2 years when the Dogs didn't even score 16 even-strength or Short-handed goals.
So, all in all, it's been a great run so far, and I hope it keeps getting better!

One of the more suprising stats that I noticed at the break was that if Sparling had not missed any games to injuries this season, his pace would be higher than Dido's and he would be leading the Q in scoring.
