the bandwagon is more of a running joke than anything around here, with people changing names and all. that was a pretty boring period. seems like everyone was just going through the motions.

Pretty tame period, a good first one for Passingham. His rebound control was shaky. He looked pretty highstrung. Hope he settles into a groove the rest of the game. Fight was a draw.

Passy looks nervous, but I assume the work with the goalie coach is paying off (I'm pretty sure the reason why they kept him in the fall was that he could work with Fleming). He made most of the saves in the first by reflex, and his rebounds weren't horrible. He should get stronger as the game progresses. Either way, there's relatively little pressure, as first place isn't on the line, and so far, he looks exactly like I expected. Nervous, with okay fundamentals and probably some talent.
One period does not make me right or wrong though.

it wasn't, gallant-unit. brett looked too tired to really beat the tar out of herr, but herr didn't even come close to drawing.

Gallant was throwing wild punches without any real technique which is rare and only landed 1 or 2 solid punches. Herr was not hurt at all but on the other hand Herr didn;t land anything himself. I would give the edge to Gallant |
