BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, December 21, 2007 – Team academic consultants from around the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today released the names of the scholastic players of the month of November. This initiative, which was created by the QMJHL and its member clubs, aims to recognize student athletes who perform not only on the ice, but in the classroom as well.
Here is the listing of this month’s award winners, who become eligible to win the Marcel-Robert Trophy as the QMJHL Scholastic Player of the Year. The recipient of the Trophy will receive the Guy-Lafleur bursary, worth $6,000, at the Golden Puck Awards Gala, which will be held in early April.
