I'm sure this is available on the moose board but heavy rumor eminating outof halifax that has marchand coming to the moose in a three way block buster with hailfax, valdor and remparts that would see the moose lose a first round pick in 2008 and a first and second rounder in 09. The halifax daily news reports this deal is a lock and are jut waiting on the Q to give the seal of approval.

It is confirmed by Quebec who inmo wins a lot in this trade. Halifax paid ALOT for Marchand... Which is pretty much expected... he is also a local boy with best friends on this team, so maybe he was worth more to us than others... however I'm sure there were pretty similar competing offers for him.

It might have been part of the deal for him to report to the Foreurs last season, that they would trade him to Halifax? Pure speculation but who knows.

Fullerton to Halifax??? I highly doubt it.
If so I guess that means Passingham starts Friday night versus the Mooseheads. Haha. ;D

Wait until Mayer gets back. If Fullerton stays were are going to take a run and if he goes we are waiting until next year. We will know at Christmas.

I was replying to Springer though and I highly doubt if we had a deal in place with Halifax for Fullerton that we'd be playing Fullerton against them on Friday. So if there is a deal with Halifax for Fullerton (which again I highly doubt) we'll know on Friday when Passingham gets the start.

Fullerton isnt going anywheres I'd be shocked if Fullerton was traded: Mayer hasn't proven himself, Fullerton hasn't proved his worth over his career enough to get us much compensation, and we need a good goalie for the playoffs this season. We are trying to go deep. We might not sell the farm to do so, but JB has every intention of pulling off some upsets.

I don't really see why Halifax would be interested in Fullerton.. I don't see the point, he's not really an upgrade over Pelletier, IMO.

Why would Saint John trade Fullerton to the team they're chasing in the standings?
