Yeah I meant to do this for this year but forgot. I like how at other rinks you'll see a list of players and "three star" points they've accumulated during the year. Since we don't have that at HS, I'll do it here.
Since I'm doing it, I make the final call on who the three real stars were. 3 points for first star, 2 for second, 1 for third. Road players get nothing because who gives a damn about them? Not me.
So starting with the Moncton game on Saturday, feel free to post who you thought the three stars were for the game. (including road players, if any. They just don't get points.)
Also unlike at our home games, if no Sea Dog is worthy of a star, there won't be one. (like when Sparling got third star in that 6-1 snotkicking CB gave us).

Okay so I went back and just went with the official 3-stars from the already played games. (minus the undeserved one Sparling got on home ice). The standing are:
Christopher DiDomenico - 5 Alexandre Leduc - 3 Ryan Sparling - 3 Michael Kirkpatrick - 2 Yann Sauve - 1 Payton Liske - 1 Simon Despres - 1

I still think this is a really interesting way to see how fans' perspectives differ from the official count.
But I think it should use the same 3-2-1 scoring as the official tally.

Grr. Being near a beer vendor would have helped yes. Been taking the season ticket entrance every time and obviously never purchased a program either. Still gonna do it though as I know at a lot of games when we're all gathered up and they announce the stars there are plenty times where the group is like "Hey what about (whoever)?" Plus as I mentioned I don't think a Sea Dog should get a star just because the game is at home and they need to make a giveaway to the fan of the game. Changing standings to reflect the 3-2-1 point system though.

1st Star - Alexander Picard Hooper - not only did he score the winning goal but took alot of key faceoff and won most of them.
2nd Star - Matt Marquardt
3rd Star - Payton Liske

Anyway I would have said:
1. Hooper 2. Marquardt 3. Didomenico
but anyway since they are already doing this at the rink, no real point to doing this. If they ever ditch the three star standings again it would make sense to do it. Until then I couldn't be bothered.
