As a fan of Junior Hockey I am from The Ontario Hockey League area and I am wondering how you like your coach & G,M Jacque Beauleau. Myself I think you have a #1 coach & Gm who will take your team Saint John to the Memorial Cup as early as next year. I was fortunate to be in London the year they won the Memorial Cup against Sidney Crosby and the Rimoski Oceniac. This coach was one of the reasons they won He is an expert on defensive play and that is what you need to win.Just curious to see what you(Saint john fans think.

JB is a great coach and he knows his stuff. He knows talent when he sees it and we are lucky to have him as a coach and GM.

Interesting question especially coming at a time when we are on the biggest roll this franchise has experienced in it's short history. He has assemlbled one of the two or three most talented teams in the Division and it is hard to say anything bad about him. We are winning things are good. As the GM he has brought in the talent but I do not know the cost. I give him an A+ on this part of his job. I will reserve my answer on the coaching stuff until the end of December. Right now he throws two great lines at you and he is winning but December will be interesting to see how he handles things when we have some not so easy match ups. Seeing we are already on the verge of smashing all the team's records it woud be hard not to give him an A+ here either. However when his horses start to slow down I want to see how he handles things. Certainly beats what we had.

I personally think he's close to perfect for this city. It is a blue collar hockey town where IMO the fans appreciate a close checking game with the occaisional brawl as much or more than a run & gun shoot-out. He's a hard-nosed, fair coach who understands the game and the business. I like his style (defense and hockey first), his decisions (the Anthony trade), and I personally like the man. He has learned some hard lessons here, the flag thing, the apparant referee conflicts, and probably a few others, but his head and heart are in the right places.

Springer reguarding your comment on whether JB can handle it when it gets rough during December i can say you and all Saint John fans have nothing to worry about as JB can handle anything that is thrown at him. When he was in London (OHL) Knights JB learned everything he had to learn from what I would say is possibly the best run Junior hockey team in Canada which is owned and coached by the Hunters ( Dale & Mark ).This team has crowds of approx 9000 plus fans for every home game and this team won the overall points for the regular season for the last four years.JB was there for 3 years of that remarkable feet (1 Memorial Cup)This guy has learned alot and he keeps continue to learn.I will go out on a limb and say JB has a good chance of being Coach of the Year in the Q this year. And I will say this coach & Gm will take you( Saint John ) to the promise land and win the big one (Memorial Cup) in the future possibly next year if not the year after. Saint John fans stay with the man (JB) he will leed you to the big one.

A lot of gears have to click before anyone wins a Mem Cup, much of it beyond his control. As for coach of the year, *cough* Pascal Vincent *cough* is the obvious front-runner.
