The Canadian Hockey League today announced the CHL Mosaik MasterCard Top 10 rankings for week 10. Three Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams managed to crack the upper echelon of the CHL.
The Halifax Mooseheads finished in third place this week due to strong performances by both the Kitchener Rangers and the Spokane Chiefs. The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies fell to seventh place while the Gatineau Olympiques made their first appearance of the season, finishing ninth.
The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.
CHL Mosaik MasterCard Top 10 Rankings – week 10
1. Kitchener Rangers (21-3-0-1) 2. Spokane Chiefs (19-3-1-2) 3. Halifax Mooseheads (20-4-0-4) 4. Tri-City Americans (19-6-0-0) 5. Sault Ste-Marie Greyhounds (18-6-1-1) 6. Windsor Spitfires (17-5-1-3) 7. Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (19-8-2-1) 8. Vancouver Giants (18-7-1-2) 9. Gatineau Olympiques (19-9-2-2) 10. Calgary Hitmen (19-8-0-2)
Take these for what there worth guys I know most of us don't put a ton of stock in them but for what it's worth the Sea Dogs have almost the same record as the Vancouver Giants just 1 less win and they are considered #8 based on that I gotta figure we must be pretty close.
Great job Sea Dogs! A win against a very tough Halifax team followed by a win over PEI would be huge for us.
