i still think the goal in which halifax got should have went upstairs.. Why? The puck was loose, Fullerton didnt have it and the ref was right there...looking at the puck...

And how come Voracek was able to skate around for 4-5 seconds without a helmet with no penalty? Because he didnt touch the puck... He skated to his bench, which is what youre supposed to do if you lose your lid.

Well he didn't skate directly to the bench it seems to me it doesn't matter of he didn't touch the puck that makes no difference you have to go straight to the bench As for whether or not the puck was loose I don't give a shit I would have liked to see a SJ player give someone a shot for taking so many hacks at the puck while the goaltender tried to cover the puck! Finally I think it's funny how pathetic commentators are when they say how they were told how Knotek wants his name pronounced and they are going to do it his way but yet they can't say Voracek that's awesome!!! I know home town announcers favour the home team which makes sense but according to these morons the Moose players can do no wrong they must skate on water! I'm sure they would have thought of giving Gauthier an extra 10 minute misconduct if he played for the Mooseheads!

I'm sure they would have thought of giving Gauthier an extra 10 minute misconduct if he played for the Mooseheads! First of all, Tonights game was done by Eastlink, they are not home town announcers they work for Eastlink, and their main play by play guys is from Cape Breton. Our regular play by play guy is John Moore who can never be called a homer, however his colour guy actually works for the mooseheads so yea, he's biased, he's paid to be. Have you ever listen to your own guy call a game, what about the Moncton announcers, all home team announcers are homers get used to it, this isnt TSN or HNIC. As for Swan's goal, yea he should have be knocked over, your boys didn't do it. If nobody's gonna take him out then his job is to play to the whistle and keep wacking until other wise. Swan did his job. There was nothing to review. If it wasn't for Fullerton, that game could have been 10-2, he made some amazing save, espically in the first. Saint John is a good team, just very young.

No need to make excuses guys. Halifax is just better than us, as they should be. They deserved the win.
Hey Canucklehead were you referring to the guys announcing on channel 10? I actually thought for the most part they were rather fair and had a lot of positives to say about us.
The game pretty much went as I expected it to. 5-2 Halifax. Now I expected the same versus Quebec, only with us coming out on top.
As for Halifax the Memorial Cup contender I say this. End the Goyens experiment. In a non-Mem Cup year maybe give it a while longer, but not while going for it all. Your team looks great but White? Umm...I dont know about him. No defensive clue out there at all. Get yourselves a forward to replace him. Get another top 4 D-man. Then you have a good shot at it all, from what I've seen, this game and others via webcast.
Sea Dogs fans? We lost to one of the best teams in Canadian Junior hockey. No need to whine about it. We're a team I see as finishing a little over .500 and making the playoffs as a 4-6 seed. After our first 2 years, why complain? I'm loving this year so far. I'd love to see Howes and Hooper together on a line, especially on our 2nd PP unit.

not sure why you guys were watching it on web cast when it was on tv
howes looked ok for his first game dido line was the only one that looked dangerous and wasnt very often jb seemed to role the lines more then playing top 2 like he seems to do at home
voracek was a man amoung boys but passes too much knotek looked dangerous as well glad i got him in my pool lol peltier sp? wasnt tested at all
overall the speed of the mooseheads was too much for us to handle as well as too many penaltys , we need to be more physical with a team like halifax to try and slow them down
hats off to the mooseheads they were the better team tonight

It's even worse that these guys were from eastlink but it some what explains why they can't pronounce Voracek's name just doesn't explain why they were so proud of themselves for getting the correct way to say Knotek but whatever lol
They did start to say some positive thing after of course the game was well in hand for the Mooseheads but for the majority of the game they did nothing but brag about the Mooseheads so if they were supposed to be biased they sucked shit!
I know our guys don't have same team as Halifax that's a no brainer I don't think anybody does!
Please JB switch out Gauthier and put Howes up there Gauthier doesn't belong on that line!!!

not sure why you guys were watching it on web cast when it was on tv Some of us are stuck with the Bell virus. I had the feeling during the game that JB was giving the NS kids some showcase time and didn't have the team fired up. Too many simply gave up out there particularly on D. As long as they send Patrick home crying tonight I'll be happy

I honestly thought Halifax was going to need some time to adjust with the new players, new lines, and all that. Not to mention Voracek and MacMillan were playing their first games of the season, so they might need some time too, right?
Well, Voracek shot that theory down on what, his second shift? The guy is world-class. It's almost like he was a number-7 overall NHL draft choice or something.
I was hoping we could catch Hali on the last game where I thought they had a weakness. Instead, it was the first game where they had none.

Is Alex Grant hurt/sick .....he play a horrible game last night....?? I think the entire team had a tough game last night but the fact that Grant and Sauve didn't end up with a minus last night for a defenseman says to me it was terrible. The game to me never appeared to have any doubt it never looked like they were ready and they have yet to face an opponent as talented as that squad was last night this should prepare them for next time though!

The eastlink broadcasters are not biased- they just don't think outside the box very well. They know that Halifax is supposed to be a top team, so they give them accolades in that way. Look at Peter Labardois (sp?) from sportsnet.... he blows his load over players he's never seen play before just because he's heard how good they are. Well to a lesser extent, that's what you witnessed last night. The eastlink guys know Halifax is supposed to be a top team and just got Voracek back, so they will comment on that a lot. As for the pronounciation of his name, I've heard it said 2 ways: Vor-a-cek Vora-cek I think he prefers the first way, but neither way is wrong. Certainly not in the same category as the previously pointed out "Bruce Swan" from your media guy.

SeaDogs didn't play last night ...they watched, like the rest of us ...they were caught standing around all night...especially in front of our goal...not acceptable if you want to win games....can't let guys stand in the slot and whack away.It wasn't only the usual guy..s playing "soft"... it was the entire team, the dogs defence is better than that when they play mean....can't stand there and wait for your partner to get it done, everyone needs to brng it if were going to compete against the elite teams....the only positives from this game were the play of Fullerton and Howes. Everyone else looked lost!
