Please let Roy Jr play in net for the Remparts tonight!!!
The guys are gonna bounce back tomorrow night gonna be a big night for that top line maybe pad the stats like PEI did just not give up so many goals. The Rocket won their game but 6 goals against on only 22 shots sounds like Lafleur needs a break.
This is a huge game they need to show they can bounce back from a tough game when Voracek was on the ice he gave the Sea Dogs fits but he's gonna do that to everyone all year!!!

I love that the Telegraph-Journal used the Patrick Roy picture to promote tonight's game too ;D

Looking forward to a better effort from the Dogs tonight...or at least some effort. The Remps should be a tired team, after playing 3 in 3, and we should be ready tonight...everyone in Saint John gets up for the Patrick WAAAA show, love him or hate him....most here fall in the hate him category...I know I do...will be sitting in section M letting saint patrick have it with both barrels....hopefully he does the YMCA dance for us, lol.
*edit* forgot my prediction ..4-1 Dogs

I think the Sea Dogs are gonna bounce back just like they did after the home opener loss to CB (are these guys for real)
My prediction for tonight will be depending on the goaltender for the Remparts if it's Roy's boy 6-3 Dogs if not 4-3 Dogs either way our guys are gonna bounce back and take 2 from them! ;D

I'm not gonna say one bad thing about that game it was just awesome!!!
Props to Mayer for getting his shutout well deserved he earned it let's hope this is the beginning of big things for him.
I noticed that this team is so much more tight as a unit compared to the past 2 seasons they are quick to stand up for each other.
The fight between Stich and Poulin wasn't much seemed to me like Poulin was just hanging on never even really try'n to throw a punch!
Dido seems like he's found some hidden speed countless times he changed gears to blow by the Rempart defense some awesome moves kudos to Desfosses for being there each time he made some amazing saves Roy's gonna have to start sitting his son alot cause this guy is the real deal!
The entire team did a complete 360 tonight as expected they have shown they can bounce back after a tough loss and tonight was no different kudos to the Sea Dogs!!! ;D

SEA DOGS DOWN REMPARTS 3-0
Saint John Earns Their Fourth Straight Home Win in Front of 4,304 Fans at Harbour Station
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Saturday, October 6, 2007
SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Saint John Sea Dogs bested the Quebec Remparts by a score of 3-0 at Harbour Station on Saturday night, defeating the ’06 Memorial Cup Champs for the first time in franchise history and earning their first victory of the season over a team from the Telus Division.
In what turned out to be an exciting, action-packed hockey game that featured several notable performances, rookie goaltender Robert Mayer stole the show on Saturday, making twenty saves on twenty shots to earn his first career QMJHL shutout.
“It was very exciting to earn my first shutout here in front of our home fans,” said Mayer following his dominating performance.
The only other shutout in Sea Dogs history was posted by Jason Churchill, who was on hand Saturday night to perform the ceremonial puck drop.
Offensively, the Sea Dogs were led by Alex Grant (1G-1A-2P) and Chris DiDomenico (0G-2A-2P), who each registered multi-point nights. Grant’s second period goal proved to be the eventual game-winner, while Alexandre Picard-Hooper and Scott Howes provided insurance markers in the third.
DiDomenico registered the first big scoring chance for Saint John on Saturday, ringing a shot off the crossbar near the seven minute mark of the first. Five minutes later, Grant very nearly got the Sea Dogs on the scoreboard as well, streaking down the wing and getting off a stellar wrist shot that Remparts net minder Kevin Defosses managed to get a right pad on to keep the score knotted at zeros, which was how the opening frame ended.
Saint John opened the second period with a successful penalty kill – the first of five on the night. Ryan Sparling earned a breakaway near the two minute mark of the middle frame, speeding into the Remparts’ zone prior to getting off a solid backhand shot that Defosses managed to impede the progress of.
Mayer made a huge stop off of an Angelo Esposito shot two minutes later; the Swiss import denied the Pittsburgh Penguins prospect with a lightning-fast toe save to keep the Remparts’ scorecard vacant.
On an odd-man rush, Sea Dogs Captain Alex Grant then gave the home team a 1-0 lead, beating Defosses with a high shot to the glove side to earn his second tally of the season.
Saint John’s defensive unit held the Remparts to only four shots on goal in the second period, none of which were able to elude Mayer, who continued to exhibit tremendous poise between the pipes for the Sea Dogs, confounding Quebec’s shooters time and time again by making use of a dynamic combination of strong positioning and exceptionally quick reflexes.
Both teams registered several quality scoring chances throughout the first half of the third period, but Mayer and Defosses continued to stand tall in goal as the tension mounted between the two teams separated by a single goal.
On a two-on-one break, the Sea Dogs then doubled their lead with 9:42 remaining in regulation, as Chris DiDomenico fed Alexandre Picard-Hooper with a picture-perfect cross-ice pass. Picard-Hooper made no mistake, firing the puck to the back of Quebec’s net to earn his third goal of the season. Payton Liske also picked up an assist on the scoring play, giving the 19-year old at least one point in all eight of Saint John’s regular season contests this year.
With 7:48 remaining in the third, Mayer made his biggest save of the game, stretching across the net to rob Mikhail Stefanovich with his right pad on what had momentarily appeared to be a tap-in one-timer for the Remparts forward.
At the 16:52 mark of the third, newly-acquired winger Scott Howes then scored on the power play to give the home team an extremely comfortable three-goal advantage.
Mayer and the Sea Dogs’ defence shut the door from there, keeping Quebec’s forwards at bay in the game’s closing minutes, as the second-largest crowd of the year had their patronage awarded with a convincing 3-0 win from their hometown team.
Up next for the Sea Dogs is a road contest versus the Rimouski Oceanic on October 12. Two days later, Saint John returns to Harbour Station for an afternoon match against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

I had to chuckle when the Remparts goalie fell coming off the ice ... and then for some reason decided to change on the fly and scurry back to his net and fall again ... and then the Remparts get a too many men penalty! Anyone else catch JB hop up onto the top of the board ala Patrick Roy .
