Well boys 3 of us are headed to Rimouski tonight to watch the Dogs play, so I'm hoping the Dogs will pull one out. Cormier and Frolik, seems to be hurt, 4-2 Dogs, with an empty net goal. Who do you think will start in goal? After a shutout performance last weekend, I think Mayer should get the nod.

Nics will be without Caron, Cornet, Desrochers, Tanguay, and might also be without Frolik and Cormier.
I hope they run up the score 10-0 or worse, since Rimouski actually tries to lose to build a stronger team in the long run, and buys players, to try to have a run of ridiculously good players over and over again.

Mayer should get the start coming off a solid shutout win. Dogs should be well rested and should win this easily if they show up to play.

Sea Dogs seek revenge in Rimouski Hockey Saint John looks to erase memory of 12-3 Oceanic win
Andrew Mcgilligan Telegraph-Journal Published Friday October 12th, 2007 Appeared on page B12
SAINT JOHN - Some members of the Saint John Sea Dogs have revenge on their minds heading into tonight's game against the Rimouski Oceanic.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League rivals have not played this season, but their final meeting last year could provide extra motivation for Saint John, who fell 12-3 to the Oceanic last time around, the second-worst loss in franchise history.
"I'm sure everyone remembers, it's probably in the back of some of the guys' minds," said Saint John defenceman Jeff McNeil. "We're just trying to concentrate on winning hockey games, but it would be nice to go up and get a bit of payback."
If the Sea Dogs want to pick up the win, their special teams will play a big part. The Sea Dogs are in the middle of the pack this season on both the penalty kill and power play in the league - ninth on the man advantage and 11th when a man down.
Saint John head coach and general manager Jacques Beaulieu has goals he wants the team to hit in both categories. On the penalty kill, he'd like to be between 85 to 90 per cent. Saint John is almost there at just over 83 per cent with nine shorthanded markers.
As for the power play, the Sea Dogs bench boss wants to see improvement and bring the standard up to 20 per cent from its current level of 16 per cent.
He has two ideas that should do the trick.
"Our net-front presence is not good enough and we've got to get more shots," he said. "That's usually a pretty good power play when you do both of those things."
"I think we're a little nervous and not finding our seams right now. That's what power plays are all about - timing and seams."
McNeil agrees about not getting enough pucks to the net, but said the rest of the man advantage is working well.
"I think we're getting into the zone and moving the puck around well," the second-year blue-liner said. "But we're not going to score if we don't shoot."
Saint John will switch things up on their special teams tonight. For most of the season, the top two lines have been logging major minutes on those units.
"The top two lines will remain on the power play, but we're going to start using other guys for the penalty kill," Beaulieu said.
The Oceanic may be just what the Sea Dogs need to get the special teams going as Rimouski enters the contest with nine losses in its last 10 outings.
"They're confidence might be low right now so we have to jump on them early and stick to the game plan," McNeil said.
ON A ROLL: Sea Dogs forward Payton Liske is the only QMJHL player with at least one point in all of his team's games. The Welland, Ont. product is on an eight-game point streak and has 11 points over that span.

One thing is for sure about this game now. Thanks to the last paragraph of this article, Payton Liske will be getting no points tonight.

Maybe we can return the favor this time That would be nice for the stats...nobody minded padding their stats against us...hopefully we can return the favour...the Nics have been bad at home so far going 1-4-1 in 6 games for the worst record in the league at .167%,.... in their last 5 games they have gone 1-4 being outscored 19-6...*fingers crossed* GO DOGS GO..prediction,6-2 Saint John.
