KITCHENER, ON --- Sea Dogs forward Brett Gallant saw his first action at the NHL Rookie Tournament in Kitchener on Saturday night, donning the white, gold, red, and black of the Ottawa Senators as he skated against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex in southern Ontario.
Gallant went toe-to-toe with 6’4" defenseman Mike Gauthier on Saturday night, more than holding his own against the former Prince Albert Raider as he sought to make an impression on the coaches and scouts in attendance at the Aud.
The Sens wound up winning the match 4-2, improving their record to 1-1 in the tournament in the process.
Ottawa takes on Pittsburgh Sunday at 2:00pm in the final game of the round robin for both teams.
