The thing that got Sparling going after the fight ended and when the linesmen came between them, legros took the opportunity to taunt Sparling and laugh at him for being busted up. I actually figured something like this may happen after the Pisano incident and the Dog's without anyone capable of handling a legit fighter. From what I have heard Gallant is not too happy about this and will settle the score with Legros Let the rivalry begin!!!!!! ;D Ya don't wanna miss the next time these 2 teams meet I know I don't this could be a major rivalry this year and I'm so ready for this season to start. It was awfully hard on the D yesterday only having 5 guys and the 5th being the guy that's actually 8th on the depth chart.

So who was it Sparling fought? Smearer or Legros? Boxscore says Smearer but it won't be the first time it's wrong if it was Legros.

The newspaper here says Legros the program during the game said Smearer I think it might have been Legros. No pictures on the Q site so I can't really tell.

I just seen him and JB yelling at each other I kinda thought it was JB that started the thing because Smearer took a cheap shot at Sparling then Ryan decided to drop the gloves with a guy 40lbs bigger and I think he's in the military so it likely ain't 40lbs of fat! Not sure what Smearer did with the Military if it was even that.......he's only 17, so not really what I'd consider a huge military guy with 14 years of mortal combat under his belt....... ;D

My fight opinions are: McNeil lost the fight but not by alot I certainly wouldn't say he got his ass kicked he held his own what was more interesting was the fact that he came in to fight the guy because he took a run at Thomas ;D Smearer was a joke first he sticks Sparling then Sparling who I'm sure wasn't to interested in fighting a guy over 200lbs when he weighs alittle over 160lbs. They were both chuckin em but Sparling took the harder hits for sure he left the game for awhile came back in the 3rd though. Smearer was then showing some more toughness when he started to shoot his mouth off at Jordan "Scappy" Knox Thomas kicked Landry's ass next time maybe Landry could actually drop the gloves before throwing punches! Smearer is a 17 year old trying to make the team......with it being the last preseason game, I'd think he'd be trying to show some toughness.......I can't see him as every being more than an average middleweight guy though...... Landry is a guy that will probably not play a game in the Q this year......he was called up for the last 2 preseason games just because Labrie is in Montreal's training camp......Landry will be sent back by the weekend I'd imagine.

For the record it was not Smearer who Sparling fought, It was Legros. He was sent after Sparling by the coach. That;s why JB went crazy.........

how the flying fluck would you know if he was sent after Sparling by the coach? Did Sparling stick someone earlier in the game? To me that would be bad coaching putting Sparling up against Legros off a faceoff (you guys had last change and saw he was on the ice).

THere was nothing to suggest that anything was coming. They happened to be opposite each other, when the Titan player gave Sparling a stick in the ribs.
And it had to be Legros, because the Titan player had a fair height advantage.

They said Legros when they announced the penalties. Both announcers agreed, and even pronounced it the same...which probably means they were wrong.

Had nothing to do with Sparling sticking anyone......had to do with what happened in Bathurst with Pisano....this came from a Titan player.....words out of his mouth. NAd obviously didn;t notice but legros was the last player to change for the Titan that shift and went right to Sparling.

Bad coaching is perpetuating a war with a team you should be walking over. This is exactly the reaction I'd want. The Titan will now be hearing footprints whenever they play us this season.

I'd hope that they hear footsteps, not footprints, since footprints don't make any noise. ;D But god help anyone that gets in Thomas' way. (Edit: Forgot the smiley)
