I found this game to be boaring for the first 25 mins....then the gates opened, and....JB let the Dogs out...way to go Sea Dogs, 6 unanswered goals...beautiful...that was really a chicken sh*t move by Paquette...liked the play of Anthony tonight, looks like he's getting comfortable with the speed of play, and with his teammates.... these guys really played a good game, with 4 of their best players out of the lineup...Amyot has got to get tougher....Fullerton looked good...Despres looks like an 18 or 19 yr. old already , has to get that shot through though

I thought the Sea Dogs looked very good lots of shots to the net and the defense really stepped up tonight when they were needed.
Thomas - Won his fight easy I think the only reason the guy didn't go down was because Thomas was holding him up to hit him again.
Fullerton - Not sure I can blame him on either goal settled down very nice after allowing the 2 goals.
MacDonald & Pisano - both played decent although MacDonald showed he's really not ready for this level although he can fill the void if need be. Pisano however really impressed me I was curious how he would handle the extra playing time and although he did make a couple weak passes he would be nothing more then a 7th defenseman anyway a role I think he can handle not to mention the fact that he tried his hardest to scrap but no luck there.
I think all the forwards really played well right down to the 4th line they kept constant pressure on the MAINEiacs which is what really helps Saint John they can roll 4 lines. I won't comment on each forward and how they impressed me because they all did an awesome job tonight IMO.
I know it's only preseason but damn it sure is hard not getting excited about the energy this team has and the defense should be rock solid keeping the opponents shots down to a minimum on most nights.
Awesome performance tonight! ;D

Someone mentioned Amyot and I agree Amyot needs to stop letting guys push him around he should be able to handle most of the forwards in this league maybe Sauve or Thomas can give him some tips on how to lay the body!
This is his draft year time to step up and start showing the scouts some tough in your face hockey. He has the skillset he just has to put it altogether!

I have different impressions. McDonald started a bit tight which is understandable, but he made some great breakout passes. I thought he moved the puck very well. He got burned a couple of times physically. The 2nd goal was largely his fault. Pisano played well physically but there weren't many demands. He's challenged when he needs to move the puck in traffic. He scares me. Still, I like seeing him out there adding to the intimidation factor. I'll add McNeil. He played very well. It was fun to see him running pps. He looked real confident out there.

I thought it was actually kinda funny when they had the big scrum behind the net and Scottie boy stood outside the faceoff circle all by himself lol not sure he wanted any part of what was going on back there probably not a terrible idea lol ;D

This is his draft year time to step up and start showing the scouts some tough in your face hockey. He has the skillset he just has to put it altogether! I watched him closely tonight. One of the troubles is his reach is so long and he has a very high poke check success rate. He almost always stops the attacker with his stick before he has a chance to mak a hit. Another big minus is his foot speed. He got beat quite a bit tonight by guys going wide and hard. He just doesn't have the quickness to get into positions to stop them or to lay the big hits elsewhere. I'm not projecting him as a high draft pick if at all.

Yann Sauvé didnt seem to find his game early I think he gave the puck right to a lewiston player for the first goal of the game and didnt really skate tonight.. May have been another sea dog but I was pretty sure it was #45..
Also number 20 for lewiston is huge just walked around the sea dogs was like 6 foot 5 got 1 or 2 goals I think and had a few shots.
Why did lewiston change there goalie they prob would have won the game if they hadnt but all in all after the first period the sea dogs started pulling through and not looking like there late model 05 and 06 teams.
Payton Liske had a good night he looks soo tall out on the ice get him on the PP and get him in front of the net goalie wouldnt see a thing.

Yes T cats that would have been #45...should know better when he's the last man back...novice stuff...Liske is my Son's fav. player so we are always keeping our eye on him...he is going to put up some numbers if he stays healthy this year...Lewi seemed to give up after the Dogs got ahead..lots of players caught out of position.

Sauve made a lazy pass and got burned but he's the type of player that is smart enough to learn from his mistakes. Lewy likely pulled Delmas because after 2 periods he had already faced 31 shots which is normally a decent workload for an entire game. I think Liske could be a good guy with size in front the only thing I'm not sure on is his ability to tip pucks towards the goal not sure on that one. He's looked very comfortable with handling the puck which may be another reason for not leaving him in front of the net.
