I know it's still early in the season, but I was wondering how Steven Anthony has looked so far in camp.

That's good, I am looking forward to seeing him play this season and the team as a whole. The Sea Dogs built up their defense well and I've always thought that if they could get some offensive players to go with their D and get some good coaching, they would do well.
I know that the Sea Dogs were criticized for taking defensemen with their first overall picks 3 years in a row. Even in the NHL they say that it sometimes takes defenseman longer to develop than forwards, so maybe Saint John was onto something by loading up on defenseman first.

Anthony oozes with potential, but he does look like a 16yr old out there, a bit tentative and unsure at times. He has some defense to learn. I expect a few tongue-lashings from the coachng staff before the season ends. I'm really happy with Despres. IMO he was the right pick at #1. He also has lots to learn, especially how to work hard in practice. These two are going to be a very scary tandem probably sooner than later.

I have seen 18-19 yr olds kicked off the ice at practice because they weren't playing defense in the drills.
