I'm surprised Dillman didnt quit half way through the game after Thomas just hammered him hard against the boards.

after watching 1 practice and 1 game these are the guys i would keep on the team
goal
mayer fullerton
defense
grant stich sauve amyot rioux mcneil despres
forwards
leduc knox charland charland stoddard anthony sparling gauthier gallant thomas liske dido kirkpatrick richer
23 man roster which is what we had last year
pard if we go with 24 man
lewis if we go with 25 man which i believe we went with in year 1
you could give langan a hometown spot but i believe hes behind the 25 i mentioned
brandon macdonald could be a nice energy type guy that will get his nose dirty but hes a 91 i think so lots of time for him to get bigger faster etc
i could see everyone else sent home
a few mentioned resendez i think i saw that he is a 20 ? good player but no way he makes it as a 20

CBC radio did a piece yesterday morning where they said we were taking 25, but when do you trust CBC for local hockey?

Thomas with 4 Monster hits today on the newcomers. I think Rioux told him to calm down. I am more amazed nobody on the white team stepped up to Thomas................3 of those where dirty hits from behind. I'd like to see replays. I thought the other guys mostly turned at the end and went in with their heads down. You have to keep your head up in this league, especially after his first hit. Regardless, he was the most impressive returning player in terms of improvement. There's no doubt in my mind he's going to create some exciting fireworks this season!

I think Mugford was ready to go. After Brett goosed him with his stick, Mguford drilled Brett with a cross-check, but Brett laughed and skated away. Pisano caught him with his first right and knocked his helmet off. Mugford had chances, but he threw short little choppy slaps, kinda like his skating. Pisano then got his shirt over his head and was whaling away with uppercuts. I don't think any caught and did damage though. The kid's not a fighter. From what I saw of Pisano, he isn't much better then Mugford.............each punch thrown looked very weak. I don;t know why everyone is giving Mugford a hard time, yes he isn;t very skilled or willing it seems but the kid works as hard as he can out there and gives it his all. He was a 10th round draft pick and a long shot at best. He just is very inexperienced and needs to learn how to fight cutting his teeth in Junior A next season if he is serious about trying to fight...............look for him to improve and show what he has next training camp. Toughest job in sports these guys get my respect. Yup on all points.

Gallant is not supposed to fight none of the vets are supposed to be fighting they've all been told by JB there is no need for them to fight he already knows what they can bring in that regard which explains why Gallant passed on clubbering Mugford.
Gallant by the way has looked very good not just in the tough guy but he's been skating better and playing better overall nice off season Gallant.

I agree...Gallant seems to be skating better and his stick handling has improved as well. Looked impressive yesterday.

I really hope Thomas worked on his fighting skills. The way he runs around hitting everything in sight, he will have no choice but to drop the gloves.

brandon macdonald could be a nice energy type guy that will get his nose dirty but hes a 91 i think so lots of time for him to get bigger faster etc He's a '90. He was a 6th round pick. He's listed at 6'3" 175lbs.
