Just like last year's trading period, I have my sources .

I agree both these guys are going to be hard to cut and they have certainly thrown a wrench into any preconceived plans. I bet there are a lot of good players not dressing tonight and that they will give some new guys a look and then make their final cuts for the training camp in Gagetown. After Gagetown the final cuts will take place for the season barring trades or injuries.

I think it's safe to say the roster will be set by September 1st or with a day their 3rd Ex game is August 31st and that's when it should be decided.

I'd look for the #1 line of Dido, Liske, and Knox to play. You have to get them ready. After that it's wide open. I'd like to see Mayer get his feet wet too.

So, im guessing the pratice at 2 today will show us are starting roster for tonight as the players in pratice will be the ones not playing in tonight's pre-season matchup ?

Stopped in to harbor station for a few minutes and some of the guys on the ice were F. Charland, K. Charland, Rioux, Mayer, Gallant, Thomas.

It was interesting to watch Gallant giving Thomas a few pointers in fighting. They were mixing it pulling lose of each other but no real punches thrown.

Also ran into a bunch of players Sparling, Knox, Dopud, Dido, Tony R in the pedways. I was talking to Sparling who said he was playing tonight.
