Are Evan Dickie & Matthew Stoddard playing in Moncton on Thursday ?

No body knows. Dickie will probly be gone before that but Stoddard should play

I'm expecting the rookies to play, players such as, Anthony, Despres, Kirkpatrick, Langan. I think Mayer will get some playing time too, as well as some veterans. You might even see Stich in the lineup to help him get prepped for rookie camp.

I just happenned to see the sports portion on Global news last night & the way they made it sound was that the SeaDogs will be announcing on Thursday who made the team & who didn't. And that then the team would play it's first game that night against the Cats.

It would seem a bit odd to have the team picked before even playing another team outside of an inter-squad scrimmage. That being said there are alot of players fighting for a few spots so it could be decided by Thursday. The core of the team will remain the same plus the additions of Knox, Anthony, Despres, and
F. Charland. Plus we have Liske coming back who's looked good in his return let's just hope he and F. Charland can stay healthy.

The team is making 10 cuts by tomorrow, but I cannot see them announcing the team by Thursday.

No way will the team be picked then. There's too much competition and there are still opportunities for trades.

I think your absolutely right just lookin for any reason why this might even be considered an option maybe they just got ahead of themselves and ment to say that cuts will be made or something. |

I thought that was a little odd as well. But this is what they said on TV. The President and Coach were both on there as well. It was the reporter himself who said that those who made the team will know Thursday & that is was just in time for their first exhibition game & that they were playing the Cats.

Although this is an unorthodoxed and short trining camp I can see them being down to say the last 2 or 3 cuts by Thurs. By today you could cut 90% that wont make it without mistake

Just curious...anyone heading to Moncton for the exhibition game? I may make the trip. Not sure yet. Will depend on how many players they cut before then I guess. I'm not interested in watching a bunch of guys I know will be getting cut from our team eventually. |
