Matthew Boudreau has played in 8 games, scoring 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points. In comparison to the leading scorer, Luca Campini has 10 goals, 9 assists for 19 points, but he's only 15.
Trey Lewis has played in 4 games scoring once, and adding 3 assists for 4 points.
Jamie Bishop has played in 3 games, and has 0 points, but 16 PIMs.
It's certainly looking to me that Lewis may end up as a better prospect than Bishop. He looked better in camp, and he's performing better back in Midget. Still, Cam elected to bring Bishop to Quebec. Wonder what that decision was based on.

With Bishop being called up today it will be interesting to see how he performs with the action he will see until Gillard gets healthy. They could have just as easily picked up Lewis on the way to Quebec which part of me kind of would have preferred.

I think they still want Lewis to get some mileage. His injury last year all but whiped out his season. Numbers aren't everything, but by the looks of it, he's playing well, so I don't have a problem with them leaving him there. Just let him play. Besides, with it still so earlier in the year, it leaves plenty of time for them to call him up at a later date.

Lewis should have been that player, but, his midget coach is also the nb scout for the moose. So, by encouraging Cam to take Bishop, he does not weaken his own midget team.

Cam would have the final say in what player he wants. If he wanted Lewis, he would have taken Lewis. I don't think he'd let a scout, regardless of his connection to the Mooseheads or any midget team, influence his decision one way or another. Also, as a coach at a lower level, watching a player grow and improve to the point where they move onto a higher level is one of the main goals and priorities. I think it would be extremely selfish of a coach to essentially hold a player back from moving on. That'd be like Russell going behind the scenes and not wanting Knotek to sign an NHL contract.

If the Moose keep playing the way they're playing for the reminder of the season *no offense* Luca Ciampini will be playing for Halifax next season.

no offence hollywood but I think the boys have played excellent so far this season ; there is always room for improvement but were rebuilding. The fans were expecting a painful few seasons before were any good again. Cam has even stated in the Halifax Herald today that the boys have played well more so on the road were we are for our next 4 games for 60 mins hard ,with the exception of Sundays game vs Moncton but Moncton is a strong team I'll give them that. We're rebuilding and thats a learning process for the team, for the fans to have patience with the team and for the Most part I think we have done well the last 2 seasons being very patient with this young team, give them a chance and give them time.

Matthew Boudreau now has 20 pts in 12 games (8+12)
Had 1g 2a today, not sure if that is included in the above stats. If it isn't he has 13gp 9g 14a for 23pts.

even tho he has that in his midget team.. he would probly not have that many points up in the Q.. i am sure that he would not hurt the club and never know.. that is maybe just what the moose need.. but at the trade deadline if they can make a few deals that would see them bring in a few prospects in to develop them for next year and then make the playoffs.. never know what can happen with a bunch of rookies in the line up with a few veterans.. but right now just try anything.. cuz nothing is working

Matt Myers has 8 goals so far for the Summerside Capitals playing mostly 4th line minutes. has scored in every game he's gotten more than 5 minutes icetime. His work along the boards and defensive play are both improving, as is his footspeed. getting called up for a couple of games would be a hell of a boost for his confidence going into next year

McGuigan will get called up before Myers.

He is 5th overall in league scoring. He is the highest scoring drafted player. 1st is Ciampini who hasnt been eligible yet, 2nd is Nicolas Dionne who went undrafted last year, 3rd is Gamelin who hasnt been eligible yet and 4th is Nolet who went undrafted last year. His production isnt really surprising, he was one of the highest scoring 93's in Qc AAA last year.

I think 2003 (Crosby) was the last time someone went #1 who was expected to go #1 as of late October. 2004, Sheppard was always a top prospect but the buzz was always around Benjamin Breault. CSR had Shep rated #4 i think at the end of the year. 2005, Alex Grant and Espo were always neck and neck but Espo was thought of as the better pick at #1. 2006, Yann Sauve...Patrice Cormier was always hearlded as the top pick. 2007, Despres...Steve Anthony was thouht of as a lock to be picked #1 heading into that season. 2008, Gormley and Couturier battled it out all year. 2009, last year was a virtual crapshoot, 5-6 players had a chance to go #1. Ciampini as of now is the #1 guy but I wont be shocked if someone else passes him.

Did you see him play these past 2 games? Battling along the boards, throwing body checks, 1st forward back breaking up plays in his own zone. He may not be in top shape just yet, but the improvements are noticable.
