Cousineau back because Anaheim had no AHL team Hoffman and Peterson were just drafted last year Bourque much different situation..... i give him less than 5% chance of being in the Q next season Hoffman and Peterson like Bourque have nothing left to prove in the Q at 20 and were still sent back. I'm not saying he WILL be back but the odds are higher than 5% given recent history.

Hoffman had the disadvantage of being drafted by Ottawa who have a recent history of sending newly drafted guys down without giving them a shot at the NHL.
Petersen hit a Pittsburgh system that had all their CHL prospects graduating at once (and no contract).
Bourque may hit NY at the right time (might not as well).

Bourque may hit NY at the right time (might not as well). Bourque (as in Gabriel, playing for Baie-Comeau) is a Nashville prospect. Bourque (as in Ryan, playing for Quebec) is the one drafted by the Rangers.

Sorry, I didn't actually read the page before and just assumed it was the guy who can skate that people were saying would be out of the Q. Gabriel Bourque has a chance, but it would likely be as a bottom 6 forward, and he'd be at best 50/50 to leave due to his skating.

And its not like he will be in Nashville next year, hed likely be in the AHL if he turned pro.

When does the Christmas trading period actually start? I know it is the first day after the last scheduled game before the break. Normally that would have been December 19th, but now there is a rescheduled game on Dec 20 between Drummondville and Shawinigan. So does that mean the trading period does not start until December 21st? Yes, I know 20's can be traded any time

Do you guys think we'll make many moves or keep the roster very similar to what it is now? I don't think we'll make too many moves I have a feeling both our goalies are safe maybe grab another D-men and forward(Goal-scorer) what are your guys thoughts? I'm bored I can't wait for the game tomorrow night!!!

I don't think we'll make too many moves I have a feeling both our goalies are safe maybe grab another D-men and forward(Goal-scorer) what are your guys thoughts? I'm bored I can't wait for the game tomorrow night!!! I think Cam will try and be busy, but at the end of the day I'm not expecting anymore then 1-2 trades. We just don't have a great deal of marketable assets to move, much like last year. Obviously Knotek's name is out there, Amyot, Brunet are candidates to be moved, but other then that we just don't have a lot to work with. A few other names like Bahm, Bety, Stoddard, Metcalfe may be out there, but what value do they have, if any? Despite their limitations, all are playing roles for this team, and so if we can't get anything worth taking back in a trade, then we're probably better off keeping them. I'll be interested to see what comes of Guillaume Pelletier. I don't know if he's struggling after missing last year with his injury, but I really don't see much of anything from him. I know he wasn't touted as an offensive guy, but what exactly is his game?? He's been scratched regularily and since he was a guy brought in by another GM, I'm wondering if Cam looks to move him. Like the guys I mentioned above, it's debateable to what, if any value, he has, but I wonder if he'll be moved. That brings me to Jessyko Bernard. What has happened to this guy? I know he's been injured and sick for a time, but still. Last year he played a ton on the 1st line, was on PP, and was producing as a 17 yr old rookie. This year he's done nothing. Do we look to move him? For the record I hope we don't. We would be selling low, so whats the point, he's has a combination of size and skill which is becoming increasely rare right now in junior hockey, and I could see him next year finding his confidence and being that top 6 guy we know he can be. But what is his problem getting going so far this year?? Anyone out there see him as a possible trade bait, if someone comes a calling, or perhaps as an inclusion with another player being moved?

Howitzer- I think Pelletier and Bernard should be separated, maybe then they would play well cause they ain't playing well together.

I'm not saying he WILL be back but the odds are higher than 5% given recent history. It didn't have anything to do with what they had left to prove in the Q. It was dollars and cents. Bourque has to be signed this June, does he not? If he goes unsigned, he'll probably be back (Lacroix's situation). If he goes unsigned, and is drafted on re-entry (very slim chance), he still stands a good shot at returning. If he's signed, then he\s as good as gone.

Bourque has a late bday by NHL standards so he doesnt actually have to sign until June 2011...after his 20 year old season.

I don't see Thomas in our plans for next season with us with such a high first rounder in Euro when they can pick a player around 17 years old..Scorer...
