I don't like this trade at all I think Brunet was a good player for us; but I guess Cam felt he wasn't living up to his potential in his 20 year old season we must be down to two 20's now with the trade of Brunet and Chremetiev who I believe I was also a 20; maybe we can go after two 20's during the trade period!!! Is there any player on this team you don't like? I think this is a great trade, I was starting to think they weren't going to get anything for him.

If the rumors are good and my source is reliable the Huskies will be getting at Xmas Comrier, Caron from Rimouski and Champion from Bathurst. The Huskies are going all the way this year.

Cam did a great job getting a 5th for Brunet. I am surprised Rouyn would want to waste a 20yo spot on him.

Cam did a great job getting a 5th for Brunet. I am surprised Rouyn would want to waste a 20yo spot on him. Agreed.......to me he was close to our weakest defenseman. For a team that is supposed to be loading up that seems like a questionable move. I think Hanney and Gilliard have come along much quicker then expected which gave Cam that option. Dimitruk has been strong, Metcalfe has been decent, Clarke, no need to say anything, and when Konrad comes back I think Amyot is expendable.

With Bernard & Pelletier they both have a huge LACK OF HOCKEY SENSE which keeps putting them out of position and ultimately behind the play, by the time they figure things out the play is going the other way both are over their heads in Major Junior, although Bernard did gets some points when he crashed the net last season he seems to not want to do that this year and poor Desjardins has all this to contend with as he trys to figure things out.

I'm not sure that Amyot is that expendable.

I thought Halifax didn't want any more picks

Bishop has left his midget team and is on his way. Is this fact or you just playing? The paper was quoting Cam to saying he wasn't calling anyone up.

The plan all along was to re-call Bishop after Christmas...the trading of Brunet allows this to happen sooner.

Interesting Cam admitting Bishop's growth has been "stunted" this season so far in AAA. It's almost as if they want him up asap, work with him, and really see what he can offer. If he doesn't seem to have what they thought he had when they drafted him, they could use him as a trading chip this year, or at the draft. That's just my opinion.
Keeping with the trade thread, what's up with Sebastien Trudeau in Lewistion?? He seems to be unachieving a lot so far. They got him in that blockbuster with Quebec this summer, and he seemed like a likely breakout candidate. Only 13pts in 28 games however so far this year. He put up better numbers on a more competitive Remparts team as a 16 yr old then he this season. He's an 18, but would be a candidate to play in the league as a 20. Is he unhappy in Lewy, and maybe a change of scenario gets him going?? We could use his experience and skill in the top 6. Just a thought.
