Bishop really hasn't been very good this year. 2 out of the 3 games I have watched him play, he has been benched for prolonged stretches.. It could be a case, as someone mentioned where the Moose just dont feel like he's progressing properly at that level.

Knotek to Baie Comeau? ... Can't see him going for that deal but I guess anything can happen. Would BC even want Knotek even if he came back next year they won't be in a position to win. I assume they are going to move Bourque they could get a nice return for his services.

Knotek to BC makes no sense. Unless BC is fearful of the Moose catching them and knocking them out of the playoffs and into bankruptcy. lol
There's more talk of Knotek and PEI on the PEI forum... that one would at least make some sense.

Bishop is actually on his way to play for the Miramichi Jr A Timberwolves. He decided that he didnt want to play Midget Vitos so he decided that to further his development he needed to move to the Jr A loop and Miramichi is the team he ended up with.
I cant really see Bishop being called up after christmas but you never know. We will see how he makes out in the Jr A circuit and then go from there i guess. I heard that he was not to happy with Halifax and was thinking about asking for a trade but no clue if there is any truth to that rumour.

The way he is playing, he should be happy anybody is interested in him. Not to rag on the kid, but as CP said he really hasn't been good. To expand on the situation, from what Ive heard from a reliable source involved with the team, as well as my own viewing of him, the coaching staff were really hoping he along with Aidan Kelly would carry a leadership role. While everything was peachy at the beginning of the season when the Vitos were on quite a roll, when adversity hit, Bishop seemed to think none of it was his fault, and it was the rest of the teams. He was involved with quite a heated exchange with the coach and was subsequently benched, along with Kelly for the entire 3rd period after this. Apparently he's been benched a couple other times as well. Bishop just seems like he needs to grow up a little, and once he does I'm sure his development will start to take off. I dont think he was well liked on the team though, and I'm not sure how that factored into this choice of Jr. A. Kelly was also stripped of the captaincy at the time, and I'm not sure whether he has received it back yet or not. Perhaps Lala or someone who has seen them more first hand can provide a little more insight..

Their is no issues with Kelly, he has and will continue to play a leadership role with his club. He and the coach had issues to resolve and they did. Kelly being the class act he is will continue to play a solid 2 way game and the coach will continue to use him in all sistuations.

Thanks for the clarifications, although I really didn't mean to focus on Kelly as he seems to be a good kid.. My source does come from inside the team, but that doesn't mean its always true either.. just something to think about I guess..

I would look for the Moose to continue to trade aged players during the break and to add Bishop, Boudreau and possibly another for the balance of the season, we will be younger after Christmas.
