i don't think you can base any broad assumptions of your fanbase on the online comments from a newspaper article... c'mon Bauer that's pretty damn weak.. 6 comments tells you that??? I think it's very interesting that an article about Luke Adam making the WJHC team has zero comments but the article about the team looking to add a forward is followed by numerous comments calling them crazy. I never said it's an assumption of how everyone thinks, just pointing out that it's very interesting considering Adam just made a national team that only 2 players of ours have ever made yet this buying/selling argument has gone on every year but 07 when it was obvious what had to be done.

Mario is also negotiating an extension , If he receives another two years on his contract then it must be the direction that the Board wants that carries the most weight . This is a Business and these are Businessmen that are calling the shots .....................however I believe it blends perfectly with his personality . The big question is the unknown about The Memorial Cup Bid ........it must be a low priority unless Q Officials have let them know the Road they see the Q going down does not have a Cape Breton Address . The only thing I personally hope is that they get overwhelmed with offers for Adam , Roy , Brodeur and maybe MacDougall . I don;t see our 20`s having the same appeal as our 19 year olds .

I remember hearing the Memorial Cup bid was to be announced in December. We're more than halfway through the month, and the rest of the month is pretty much Christmas, and there hasn't been a word about it yet.

Is that the time frame for which teams are announced to who is bidding on the 2012 for Mem Cup? It seems a little premature to announce who is hosting. I don't think the 2011 Mem Cup host has been announced yet.
EDIT: I see that the host for the 2010 Memorial Cup (Brandon) was announced back in October 2008. For 2011, it seems the front runners are Windsor and Kingston.
Interestingly enough, Windsor won the Cup in 2009, are the #1 team in Canada this year, and are looking to host in 2011 so chances are, they will be amongs the CHL's best again. On the flip side, I think Kingston has only won 1 playoff series since 97-98 under their belt.

I'm only basing my opinion ^ on what I've been reading from posters who've been at the games. But all the attention that Kadri is getting lala, you don't think there's any pressure there on the scouting and coaching staff to take the Leafs "saviour" ? In my own opinion, I think there is. That's why he's been paired with Jordan Eberle for 2 days now, giving him the peddistal try-out. Guess you we're wrong by Adam being shut out by a certain "Leafs draft pick." Your ignorance towards the Leafs astonishes me, Western hockey fans seem to be really big babies when it comes to talk about the Leafs. Kadri has 38 points in 28 games which equals out to 1.36 PPG, Luke Adams has 52 points in 33 games, good for 1.58 PPG. Keep in mind Kadri is in the OHL, arguable an entire level up from the Q.

Adam was just on a line with Eberble and they had a great scoring chance. Wonder if we will see adam jump up on the lines.

LOL Must be why players like S.Kostystyn put up nearly 2 PPGM. the OHL is a run and gun league, compare Khadri to Hall nd Seguin who are both younger...

Luke had 2 goals and a helper today. Canada defeated Latvia 16-0. Jake Allen (possible future Eagle?) faced 10 shots for the shutout.

I don't think the 2011 Mem Cup host has been announced yet. The OHL has not announced the 2011 host yet. Expect that to come after St. Patrick's Day if not closer to this season's cup in Brandon. Windsor, Kingston, the Soo all have new buildings to showcase and Mississauga has been mentioned as well given the play of the Majors.
