Same reason why a lot of players do not make Team Canada or even get an invite.

According to an article in the Telegram today www.thetelegram.com/index.cfm?sid=316272&sc=83Luke flies home to St. John's with his parents today and will get a four day break before rejoining Cape Breton. He obviously needs a rest after this and Cape Breton is better served by having him recharge his batteries rather than throwing him right back into games this weekend.

Looking back at the World Junior Tournament I have to ask what the hell Canada's 2 shutdown D were doing playing the last 5 minutes in the 6-1 win over Switzerland? Hamonic's injury may have been the TSN turning point. I hate to admit I agree with Pierre Maguire on this issue! Hockey fans please forgive me!
How does a D make Team Canada that isn't good enough to play a single shift in that same 6-1 semi-final win? Did Cowen really play any worse than Ryan Ellis on New Year's eve against the US? That seems to be a strange way to build up the confidence of any young player!
Would Henrique and Nemisz had made the team on their own if they hadn't got to play with their own linemate Taylor Hall through the scrimmages and exhibitions? I don't really know. I'm just asking. If Team Canada was counting on that line's great chemistry, it didn't seem to really work out that way! Perhaps there were injuries I'm not aware of?
When Jake Allen gave up the poor rebound goal where were the 2 D and what were they doing on that play?

The goal wasn't really the D's fault. It was Allen's fault. His mishandled the puck. The puck slid into the zone between the two D.

Christopher, I know that Jake Allen mishandled the puck but if either D comes back first the US player doesn't get the rebound, does he?

Allen clearly should have had the Original shot and not had to worry about the D getting the rebound, as it should have been controled by Allen, Anyway now people may forget the Fluery/O'Sullivan Situation
