Elementz- close in the first period and then the Sea Dogs Drummondvilled the Mooseheads in the 2nd period and coasted from there- third period was a little nasty.

Tonight, in the second period, it looked like a first place team playing the last place team. The Mooseheads were close in the first and nothing much happened in the third(besides a few fights!) but the second period killed them. The defense was exposed on most of the Sea dogs goals. Lewis looked more like a raw rookie tonight. Thomas got a double game misconduct after fighting 16 year old Trey Lewis in the 3rd. Not sure what that was for. For once it wasn't the Mooseheads getting the extra 10 minute misconducts after the fights. I didn't think Corbeil let in any bad goals but he just wasn't as amazing as he's been lately. Grondin came in for the third period after the damage was done. Garrett Clarke did the 20 question interview during the first intermission. The kid's got attitude!

Hey Guys one thing I got to give Arseneault Kudos for letting both teams play after the poor officiating last weekend he did a fairly decent job tonight. I have a quick question how does the double game misconduct work? does that mean Saint John player will likely be suspended for the next game too....and the fight right after that one he was still swinging after the linesman broke them up that may get him a 5 game suspension thats a No no in the Q. Okay recap for all the lovely fans that sat at home or the Sea Dogs fans
1 St period started off with a bang; Corbs made a few nice saves but it was Quickly 2-0 Saint John at about the 8:00 min mark the game was stopped for 5 mins to collect teddy bears ;and put the police van out there to collect them Bahm had our only goal. We were pretty much hemmed in our zone the entire first period. 2nd period we spend more time in our zone then theirs and they blew a 2-1 game wide open; we had a lot of good opportunities couldn't cash in, It was a physical affair to say the least we got a few penalties but I think Saint John got a way with a few but we probably did too. 3rd period was rather boring as Saint John is up 6-1 nursing their lead; we generate more opportunities still can't cash in. Towards the end Arsenault loses control of the game it quickly got nasty as the Moose had a number of players thrown out. We are already shortbenched missing Clarke, Gillard, Costello(broke his thumb, dressed but did not play), Knotek, Absheaulter we looked like a young team but we had a fun first half I'm just glad the first half is over. Maybe the 2nd half will be kinder to us we start off with a bang with two tough opponents in Moncton and Back to back vs Cape Breton. We will have Gillard, Clarke and Absheaulter will be back for next Sunday's game vs Moncton Okay thats what Mooseheads twitter said; but Metro Q files says otherwise about Clarke says he will need to be eased back into lineup won't skate over the holiday break; we will just be scratching injured Costello and Clarke and Knotek. I must say I was pretty impressed with the kids tonight Bishop has a lot of potential does a real good job of clearing our zone and Lewis is going to be another fun kid to watch he had a nice fight tonight but they should put a name on the jersey; Trey was number 6; too bad thats probably the last of Bishop and Lewis we saw as at least 2 of our regulars are expected back when we open up the 2nd half at home against Moncton!!! I wouldn't be surprised to see them both on the team next year....Merry Christmas to all at Moosetalk be careful and have a great holiday season. Yes I know the game starts at 7 I was meeting a friend to hang out for awhile; who is our acting Captain till Tomas gets back?

Send him to the Bearcats with the rest of the ex-moose. He's Jr A at best.

Hfxfan09, the Sea dogs are from "Saint John" New Brunswick. Spell out the "Saint" and no "s" at the end. The Fog Devils were from "St. John's", Newfoundland;, the "St." is abbreviated and there's an "s" at the end. Don't mean to be anal but it pisses me off when people don't get this.

Was very impressed with the Sea Dogs tonight. They came out fast and scored 2 nice goals. But the Moose did battle back and after a couple of good chances scored a nice goal. The second Petersen and Hoffman took the game over. My seats are halfway between the blueline and the net where the Dogs shot at in the second. I saw some great goals. Hoffman cut in front of the net with the puck in his feet kicked it to his stick and drove it home. St-Laurent looked good as the Moose did have some flurries that he turned away. I am glad we got 2 points in the home and home, more then I expected.

The team did all they could in the first period and it made for a very physical and entertaining start to the game... a few quick goals in the second and the Moose ran out of gas... the third period SNB didn't have much interest in the rough stuff until Thomas with Lewis and that combined with the score, SNB continuing to play Hoffman and Petersen on the PP and the Moose not getting a PP until 6 minutes left (What was up with that... so many missed calls) in the game made for a frustrated Moose team looking for blood. 6'3" 214 vs. 5'11" 168... Grant was a man possesed tonight in the first period and is a lock for Captain next year/when Knotek is moved. He was running over everyone and the Q site says the Moose only had 8 hits... Grant must have had that in the first alone. He was creating, taking big hits and dropped the gloves with Sauve who is nearly 50 pounds bigger then him. Russell says he is one of the guys being asked about... I imagine any contender would love to have him but he'll likely remain and be a great 20 year old and leader on team. Lewis and Bishop. Both made a couple errors... Lewis fanned on his reverse to Amyot and either he or Dimitruk left the front of the net open and both mistakes led to goals. With Lewis his couple mistakes were obvious but I thought he was solid in general and his one on one play and board play was strong. Good strength for a 16 year old so I think he could adjust quickly to the Q. SO much toughness, young toughness, from the Moose D and he had no issue with not only dropping them with Thomas but trading punches as well. Bishop looked decent with the puck and I'm happy with how he played considering his season so far... didn't look out of place at all and has a good instinct for when to hit. Gelinas, Lemieux and Andrews continue to play great. Andrews wallked between two D and nearly scored a beauty. That line had 10 shots tonight. First half is over and I liked what Cam (Webber - what did Cam do to you? You seemed to have it out for him tonight ) had to say after the game and seems more than open to move Knotek though talked about Knotek needing to give it the thumbs up. Talked about Knotek, Grant and Amyot as the guys he's getting calls about.

I just want to say thank you to the Mooshead fans for showing a lot of class last night at the game. It was my first time being in the Metro Center, and I had blast along with my nephew. People there were very friendly, and I will be coming back again. So again, thank you for making it a great experience!

Second fight in the game. That's only a single game misconduct. It might have been an instigator as well for the second one.
