What did Mike Thomas (#17 C) get the double game misconduct for? I was at the far end & didn't see what happened..... He deliberately took Lewis' helmet off. A real class guy that Thomas, what an excuse for a captain EDIT: He also receives an automatic one game suspension.

Costello's broken thumb won't keep him out of any more games. If fact he wanted to play last game, but Russell wouldn't let him . The kids tough as nails, it will take more than that to keep him out of the lineup

Well we took it on the chin last night, but hey who'd have thought we would split the two games so 2 pts is pretty good. Decent first but a few mistakes and boom its 4-1 and they were rolling. I am glad SJ fans are getting a good team to cheer for this year but I have to say its an absolute joke that Petersen and Hoffman are even in this league. Ryan Hillier, Brad Marchand, Andrew Bodnarchuk for example were good enough for the minor pro leagues but yet these two are sent back as 20s. They are miles ahead of the 3 guys I mentioned in skill IMO but yet they are here. Good for SJ but puzzling to me. Same as Riopel coming back. Are Q teams now offering money to NHL teams to send players back?? Anyways, saw lots of improvement in the first half, hopefully we will continue to get better in the second half.

Their teams don't have to sign them as 20's, so no years roll off future ELCs. I know in Pittsburgh's case, it seemed like they had a logjam of 21 yr olda who required roster spots somewhere. As for Hoffman, I can only assume Ottawa was in the same boat. Riopel? That one baffles me. Seems like Philly is giving up on him rather quickly, throwing him to the wolves as a 20 in the pros, then demoting him. One can only assume Irving is footing the bill for his pro salary.
