The "Chez QManiac" is a great place to stay. I stayed there once but I'm anxious to stay at their new location this Friday and Saturday evening. The shuttle from downtown was great too.

You can tell it has been a tough year on the ice when the most active thread in a while is about trying to help fans of a team that will probably kick our butt ;D.
Got to love maritimers.

Stayed at the Delta Halifax and was pretty reasonable at $109+tax. You can hit up the casino, metro center, and a mall without having to go outdoors. scotia square isn't a mall.

It has a liquor store and a good sized eatery plus a few other spots that come in handy when your hotel room is right above it.

Its mainly existing for the daytime downtown halifax work crowd, and tourists staying in the area. It's actually pretty busy during the day and has a good food court and choices of where you get your coffee. But it's not like it was in the days when it first opened and had 2 full floors of shopping and Dick Turpin's Pub.

Wonder what kind of crowds you`d get... you figure there would be a pretty strong amount of local hockey/moose/Q fans that would go... plus what, 50% of the average moncton crowd maybe? The thought of the metro centre erupting in cheers on a wildcat goal makes me a bit nautious though lol

Both teams have players worth watching and it would be an interesting crowd for sure.
