I'm coming down on the 27th to catch the Cats play the Moose and haven't been there since the World Juniors in '03 leaving me quite unfamiliar with the Metro Centre.
I'm looking to preferably sit towards then end where Moncton shoots twice. Is there a side/section/row you guys would recommend? For example here at the Coliseum the first 7-8 rows (at least) offer poor visibility of the ice. I remember the upper bowl and the Metro Centre cutting off some of your view as well so I'd like to avoid that obviously.
Also, I'm considering making a weekend out of it. Do any of you have any recommendations for a decent well-priced hotel close to the MC? I know a lot of you likely dont stay too often downtown haha but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, lets hope for an action packed entertaining game of years passed.

You can get tickets online here and print them at home, too easy www.ticketatlantic.com/en/home/default.aspx9,10,20,21 are the side sections looking where the Cats will shoot twice. 11 through 19 end zones in the same end. I prefer being up a little higher (I am in row P ) but anything above f/g you should be good. I hope we put up a battle, am hoping to see Kabanov for the first time. Hope you enjoy the trip.

There are some cheaper hotels on the Bedford Highway but you are looking at about a $25 cab ride to get there so you have to weigh that. Though I do not think as expensive as some in Moncton. Wife and I were coming back from the Gaspe Baie and were calling from the road for places to stay in Moncton, could not get the people at the I think the Shearton (or a name like that) to come below 180.we ended up at the Rodd was a lot cheaper and really nice.

Section 15-19 would be good its at the very end right behind Moncton's net; on the side good seats would be anywere from sec 18-26 or 3-12. if you want to be close to the net that Moncton shoots on twice then sit on the side from Sec 3-12 best seats are in Sec 11-12 on that side. Go Moose Go; Hope that provides a bit of help for you! www.halifaxmooseheads.ca/default.asp?mn=1.223.228(Thats the seating diagram for the Metro Center)

Stayed at the Delta Halifax and was pretty reasonable at $109+tax. You can hit up the casino, metro center, and a mall without having to go outdoors.

There's myself and a group of fans heading down from Moncton for the game on Saturday. We have seats in section 9, row D and E....in case you want to sit near some others.

If you book online through Travelocity.ca or Priceline.com you can get a downtown hotel room for $100 a night ... which is pretty low for downtown Halifax. You might get cheaper through Priceline if you bid on a room.

I think the Courtyard Marriott hotel downtown is pretty affordable. It's new, located downtown by the Keith's brewery. Don't get the Marriott's confused though because there are 3 in downtown Halifax.

Whatever you do, don't get seats in section 1, I find a lot of annoying Moncton fans sit there whenever the Wildcats are in

I'm also heading down for the game. I too am looking to get tickets (3) in the end the Cats shoot twice. However, I can only purchase my tickets Saturday morning once I get there. This being the final home game for the Moose, it could be pretty packed. Should I have a hard time getting seats?

It is a ticket redemption date so you could have difficulty by the sounds of it getting multiple tickets together by the sounds of it.
