i think last year in the playoffs they called slaney day to day and we know how that turned out. they try to keep injuries as low keyed as they can this time of the year. Didn't Slaney have a concussion ... those are typically a day to day thing ... difficult to put a timetable on them. No, it was a broken bone in his face. He couldn't play because his vision would of been in danger.

I think Eagle fans have to thank Danny Flynn more than our physical style because he basically played only 2 lines the night before in a game that went into overtime.

Two quotes from the Post caught my eye today.
‘It’s a series now’ says Adam and “I wanted to step up tonight for the boys.”
I just don't get it; we know that this series started last Friday in Moncton and if a few more players had "stepped up" then and again on Tuesday night, the Eagles could actually be winning this series.
Unfortunately, the Eagles won't be able to play Taylor MacDougall's line against Tessier's line in the upcoming Moncton game. Tessier came to CB with 7 points in 2 games and left with 7 points in 4 games. I don't think MacDougall's line received the credit they deserve for the checking job they did anywhere.

I was thinking the same thing, in regards to LA's quotes. Like, maybe he should have stepped it up from Game 1 and they wouldn't be in this situation. And and I don't consider a 3-1 series "a series now". 2-1 is "a series now" 1-1 is "a series now" 2-2 is "a series now" 3-3 is "a series now" Having to fight off elimination each game is not a series now, imo.

Any update on Macneil? Or Pisachek's mess? Heard MacNeil had surgery if that is the case he is done. That quick? I dunno about that. Also, Brodeur/Piska, any word? This could be bad. Losing one of those guys is bad enough, but, two or three. Eek. If Bro and Piska are suspended, Who would be our d? Ellis, Meilleur, Woodsworth, Fournier, Larade and

Ellis, Meilleur, Woodsworth, Fournier, Larade and If it makes you feel any better, your potential patchwork D could be facing our patchwork forward crew ... Cameron, MacAusland, and Brannon are questionable for various reasons for tomorrow's game, and Roski, Daoust, Trask and Kabanov are out.

Eek. If Bro and Piska are suspended, Who would be our d? Ellis, Meilleur, Woodsworth, Fournier, Larade and Brodeur would of been suspended by now The league already reviewed it and didn't suspend him so an appeal won't matter much. Piskacek is automatically gone unless they rescind the match.

Any update on Macneil? Or Pisachek's mess? Heard MacNeil had surgery if that is the case he is done. What was his injury ... I saw him being helped off ... assumed it was a knee or ankle or leg issue. Anything known for sure ?
