I mean you'd think someone besides the lame duck GM would have something to say about this season.
Are the CB Post and Chronicle Herald too busy with where Stephen MacNeil is taking his vacation or keeping up with the latest illegal cigarette bust in North Sydney to bother getting an interview with Paul MacDonald or a member of the board?
Do we not deserve some sort of insight into the organizations future considering as of right now there's nobody under contract to manage or coach the team and we just had an embarrassing kick in the groin to end the 09-10 season?
The silence is deafening.

The angle they're playing is probably this:
Stay quiet. Hope everyone forgets. New season starts. Everyone is happy!

It is pretty noticeable how there hasn't been a peep around town about the team since its elimination. With how many key decisions have to be made between now and any 2012 Memorial Cup bids, no news is not good news in this situation.

I'm telling you it won't be pretty ..............struggling team ..........a coach on a 2-3 year deal that is endorsed by the "right" people and detested by the people in the Stands........."Bad Chemistry".

I'm telling you it won't be pretty ..............struggling team ..........a coach on a 2-3 year deal that is endorsed by the "right" people and detested by the people in the Stands........."Bad Chemistry". Try having a GM for your team that in seven seasons of being in your city has moved beyond the first round of the playoffs only once (& that was in the 1st year)....has never finished higher than 3rd in their division....has drafted and developed players poorly....can't build a contending team because of inconsistent trading....but yet know that the only reason why he hasn't & will not lose his job is because he is also the owner. That's "bad chemistry"

I just can't wait fot the day where I wake up and read that the Eagles are not going to bring back Mario and they go out and bring in a sensible hockey man.

Maybe the delay is due to them leaving Mario hanging ... other candidates may not be available for discussion until their season's are over. If they have their eye on Fabian Joseph, they would have to wait for a while before they can negotiate with him.
Joseph was interviewed during the intermission of one of the Cats road games last week ... Les Stoodly questioned him on his plans and goals, the gist was he wants to be a head coach or move up to the pro ranks, and is very confident that he is ready, but isn't necessarily in a rush as he really likes Moncton and is in a good situation there as associate coach.
