Can you imagine what damage Paul MacDonald did at the Pizza Hut Buffet after meeting with Snoop Dog ? All the Big Name Acts and this is who we bring in ? I agree with the others - overdone and not necessary

I know I'm not the only one feeling this way but the comments made toward Mr. MacDonald regarding his size or appetite to be totally classless, unfunny and uncalled for. agreed, and I've said it before myself. But he won't stop; typically it's a guy's hair, his weight, eating habits, or the way they talk and somehow these jabs are actually supposed to lend weight to an argument to somehow diminish a person's character or abilities to do a job. Sure, it's a public forum and you should be able to express yourself, but this is a consistent and ongoing display of childishness. But hey maybe everybody else thinks this is top-notch comedy? And it's not like I don't have a sense of humour, hell, I think my signature is a Bill Hicks quote. But just when we're talking about fellow member of our small community it just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it makes me a hypocrite, but I guess I'm just not desensitized so much that I can laugh at people like that when I might end up ordering a burger behind them in the drive thru in town. Can't agree more.....as i've said before....there's no need for the off-ice attacks on management and even though I can't recall any mods trying to put an end to it I think we can all(well, a majority) agree that it has to stop, if nothing else so Capers stop looking like a bunch of friggin rednecks on this board. And that's coming from someone as pissed as anyone else about how they've fucked over(imo) the Cape Breton fans and community. About time some of you find some new material that is above weight and hair jokes and is actually funny.....unlike the stale material we've seen here for 2+ years now.

Good post. Those jokes get old faster than Oprah --- Uma.

jboyz who told you Saint John was a big city ? LOl nobody told me Saint John was a big city It's big enough - its size is not the problem. Maybe I haven't been there enough (only twice the past five years or so), but from my experience there just really isn't very much to do there at all. The Sea Dogs team and Harbour Station facility should be more than capable of hosting a Memorial Cup in 2012, but unless I'm grossly misinformed about the city I could see visitors getting pretty bored there over the 10-day tournament - except for going to the games, of course. Saint Johners may tell me that I don't exactly live in Montreal or Toronto myself and that those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. There's some truth to that. I'll admit that there's probably no more to do in Sydney than there is in Saint John. However, at least Sydney's activities are closely packed together into a smaller town - a better "concentration" of things to do per square km, if you will. Saint John, I find has about the same amount of things to do as Sydney - maybe slightly more - but all spread out over a considerably bigger city! And that's just comparing SYDNEY to Saint John. Factor in the whole CB Regional Municipality, and the Island's major tourist attractions like the Cabot Trail and Fortress of Louisbourg, and I'm be willing to bet there would be more for Memorial Cup visitors to partake in outside the rink in Cape Breton than there would be in SJ. Of course it's all a moot point if the Screaming Eagles don't have a competitive enough team to host in 2012. Right now that's looking like a longshot, but we'll see.
