Anyone watching the game today at the forum seen a perfect move. Garrett Clark gets into it with the SeaDog player towards the end of the 3rd period. Sea Dog player I think it was either Spencer MacDonald or #11. Anyway the player grabs Clarke who goes limp and lets him throw him around like a rag doll. So classic, Clarke handled it great anyone else I would not been impressed with, but shows Clarke is growing up not making as much dumb moves, and if the refs are going to be more harsh towards him, well than hes changing his play. Loved it

Easier to understand: Clarke flattened #11 open ice twice in one shift towards the end of the game and after the second time #2 (Morin) threw his gloves off to stick up for #11 but Clarke kept his gloves on and didn't fight.

Thanks easier to understand, but you left out Clarke being in a full airplane spin. Was more to it than not fighting, but thanks for the clarification I admit mine was confussing.

So in a pre-season game I like what Morin does in sticking up for a rookie forward ... nothing wrong with that.

Was also impressed when Darcey Ashley dropped his gloves and went after Thomas Oliver-Dares after a dirty hit from behind, he lost the fight but gained some respect.
Morin did have a good game though. But both hits were clean and at almost the same place on the ice, you would think the kid would have learned after the first one.

Yeah Oliver-Dares is looking to take over the Thomas role for sure

It wasn't a hit from behind. It was side-on, but it was after the whistle.

So in a pre-season game I like what Morin does in sticking up for a rookie forward ... nothing wrong with that. Yep exactly. Clarke did his job, Morin did his. It was a pretty entertaining shift to witness. Tesink got the puck and both times you could tell he wanted to rush the puck up the ice. He got about 3-4 strides in and then he was eating Clarke's shoulder pads. Huge hits by Clarke. Reminded me of Jiri Suchy. Overall not a great game. I wasn't too impressed with our defense. We had, what's in all likelyhood, our top 5-6 guys playing (minus Hannay), and I thought they were just ok. Had trouble getting the puck out of our zone. Too many turnover and errant passes. But it is pre-season after all, so whatever. Nice to see Gillard and Clarke supply some offense. Up front, I'm really liking Ciampini. He seems to be adjusting really well. I like that he doesn't panic or try and do to much with the puck. He lets the play come to him and goes from there. He was very much involved today. Just has to get quicker, especially with his first few strides. He's not too bad full speed, it's just getting there that needs work. The Desjardins-Andrews-Ashley line played well again. I like how Ashley is skilled, but works hard as well. He's always after the puck. I can see this line staying together and playing well, but only thing that worries me a bit, is Andrews and Desjardins finishing abilities. I can see the line getting loads of chances, but not converting on a lot of them. Hope I'm wrong. Boudreau had a goal, but also had a few turnovers. He's not big by any means, but I do notice he's a bit bigger then last year. I thought Belanger played well again. But he's probably on the outside looking in. Grant and Bety had good games. I like what Bety brings phyically. I have to say I didn't find Grant that noticeable, yet he had 2A. Quiet production haha. The battle between Davis and Warner is interesting. Warner is good fighter for a smaller guy. He lost his fight against Mathieu, but he got some good shots in. Fast and can throw both hands. However I think in the end, Davis will win out due to being a better skating, has better hands and even though he might not fight as well or as often as Warner, I think Davis has more "in game" value. Warner's value is limited due to his below average skating. Davis is a better skater, and I think with that, brings more to the team. Turbide had 1G 1A. He's got great size.

I hope you are wrong about the Andrews line, they could carry a big chunk of our offense with their skill. I got to believe that Desjardins will score some goals this year.
I liked Turbide a lot, he is not a bad skater for a big guy and seemed to be around the puck a lot.
I thought both goalies played decent, but it was a little funny seeing Terenzio after Corbeil, there was a lot more net showing for sure.
But was a very entertaining game and I think there were some positives to take from it.
And we won, have not been able to say that too many times in the last few years LOL

Amyot was the defenseman that I thought played the worst. He had a number of giveaways and just didn't look like: a) the captain b) a 20 YO fighting for one of the three spots.

Amyot won't be the Captain. This role will be given to Randall. The other letters are probably still being considered. Can't see it being Amyot. Possibly Desjardins and

Clarke gives us a peak at what is hopefully a nice season. Big blasts from the point all game and some crushing hits. That first hit on Tesink you could feel in the stands and the 2nd about 20 seconds later was almost as nice. I really like him and Gillard as a pair.
Turbide was pretty solid in the intersquad games but today was really good. Played well with Boudreau and Davis (Boudreau seems to play well with almost anyone) and he was good with the puck and used his size. Boudreau plays a mature game and works hard a both ends but I really like his game when he's slowing things down and finding the open man in the offensive zone.
Ashley made a nice pass to set up Turbide on his first. Good to see the guy stand up for his teammate. About the last guy you expect to fight but still good character move. That line was decent... didn't seem to have much luck today.
Ciampini didn't look out of place with Bety and Grant. He's really confident with the puck setting up a few chances and had a few of his own. Bety was great in the faceoff circle.
I thought Warner was a bit better today... his antics were getting a little overboard in the intersquad games. He fought at a good time and did good vs. a big guy... lots of punches thrown in an entertaining fight. His skating holds him back and he's not exactly a big guy.
Terenzio was pretty good with the only goal coming a second after he took a slapshot in the mask.
It was good game, physical, entertaining.
