Amyot won't be the Captain. This role will be given to Randall. The other letters are probably still being considered. Can't see it being Amyot. Possibly Desjardins and Amyot had the C tonight......and was shaky.

WOOhoo a win for the boys much better than the last 2 seasons; and the tleeding is over for this team we can't go anywhere but up now Go Moose Go!!! *Side note if I was Cam I'd keep Bety, Delmas and Grant just because from what I have seen those 3 have the best leadership and Bety did really well offensively last year!

Possibly Desjardins and Ill bet you Amyot will be captain... Desjardins wont get a letter.... Amyot will get the C, Randell an A and likely the 2 other 20's will get A's...Bety for sure if he is kept and likely Grant.

What did you think of the game/players today?

I only stayed for part of the game but its hard to evaluate the dmen because the ice was so bad, seems like everyone of them was messing up with simple plays. The speed is starting to catch up to Davis/Warner/Souligny...those 3 arent nearly as effective when the pace gets quicker. Ashley is going to be a big time point producer in this league, no real shock. The play he set Turbide up was pretty amazing, considering i dont even think Turbide shot the puck, went off of his stick and between Tingley's legs. Ciampini seems scared to shoot the puck...he is a shooter, he needs to shoot. It seems like he is giving Bety and Grant too much respect and always dishing off. The Ashley/Desjardins/Andrews line is fun to watch but will they finish?? Thats the million dollar question.

The battle between Davis and Warner is interesting. Warner is good fighter for a smaller guy. He lost his fight against Mathieu, but he got some good shots in. Fast and can throw both hands. However I think in the end, Davis will win out due to being a better skating, has better hands and even though he might not fight as well or as often as Warner, I think Davis has more "in game" value. Warner's value is limited due to his below average skating. Davis is a better skater, and I think with that, brings more to the team. The more I watch, the more I'm starting to like Warner over Davis. Warner's fight against a much bigger Mathieu showed great timing and proved that he wasn't afraid to go toe to toe with a big guy. I thought Warner also kept things pretty simple and played the body a lot and continued his constant chirping. I don't know what he's like in the room but he seems like a character guy on the ice. Davis on the other hand can hit a lot harder and may have better offensive skills (in terms of shooting ability) but seems to lack a lot of hockey sense. I remember one time today he was coming down on a defenceman at the blueline and Souligny (I think) was busting down the middle wide open for a breakway and instead of passing for the mini-break away, Davis took a shot above the circles at the goalies shoulders. He seems to have 'tunnel vision' when he gets the puck. Just my take on the two, and I was a big Davis fan before we drafted him.

Ya he hasn't been shooting much, but he's surprised me with his playmaking ability. I know he's a shooter, and he'll always be a shooter/goal scorer, but his hockey sense is good enough that he can make plays out there in additon to being a goal scorer. I wasn't expecting that from him. He has an idea of what he wants to do as soon as he gets the puck. How has he been in your eyes, having seen him play before?

He'll be a 4th liner, so I guess we can't be too critical haha. I just think Warner's skating and foot speed will limit his impact in a game. Davis is no speed demon by any means, but in a 4th line, energy, crach and bang role, I think Davis holds more value.

how wasa the Warner vs Mathieu fight. I heard Ashley lost his fight. Mathieu-Warner was a good fight; Mathieu won because of the size difference but he didnt kill Warner IMO it got the Mooseheads going because the Dogs had just gone up 2-1.

He reminds me of Dany Heatley...not a guy who is goign to carry the puck but it seems pucks find Ciampini's stick in scoring area's and thats no fluke. He is the kind of guy who needs 1 chance and its a goal, he hasnt shown that yet, but im confident he will. When I watched him in Midget he was shooting more...he was always shooting, and from everywhere, almost too much. But I think that aspect of his game will come back.

Well since you seen him back in midget you would be able to answer this. In the intersquad games they had him at center he's a left winger right? Why would they do that to the kid for his first kick at the can? He didn't even win one face off that game. Thought that was kinda unfare for the kid to be put in that postion for the fans to first see him out there.

Not sure why they did that. I believe Ciampini was a Centre in Bantam and in Espoir when he was 13 and 14...but he was a LW all of last year considering his centreman was Gamelin. That being said, it was only intrasquad, he wont be playing Centre when the season starts, and he played the wing yesterday.

I was thinking him and Ryan together. With maybe Grant for the third would be a great line so these kids get playing time and chances to score and grow fast. Not at all likely but would be great for this year and the next 4.
